Hotel Florian Prague — Hotel in Prague

I'm still wondering how I made the mistake of booking this. I am usually cautious and do a lot of research before booking accommodation, but I've recently failed and I'm here to warn other travellers.|First thing first: this is not a 3-star hotel. It shouldn't be. It could be a motel, at best. And there is no restaurant (wouldn't have eaten there anyway). No coffee in the morning, sorry for the bad news! |But the biggest problem with this place (other than the old communist look) is that the walls are ridiculously thin, you can hear everything going on in all the other rooms. And I do mean everything. Hostels are way more quiet than this. |On the plus side, the receptionist was very nice and the bedsheets were clean. Room was also clean. |The rest of the experience was very bad, as I couldn't sleep all night, found the hotel/motel shady and had to look for accommodation early in the morning again. Hotel Florian is also a hostel in the same building. So you can book either a hotel room or a hostel room with the shared bathroom. We booked a 2 bed private room. The room was clean, standard, nothing special.The walls of the rooms are quite thin though, so basically you hear the people in the room next to you talking all the time. The staff was very nice and welcoming, it was a big plus. But I must say they do not clean the shared bathrooms very often. Almost everytime there was water on the floor from the showers ( not cleaned the next morning). The toilets were dirty, also the sinks full of hair. That was the only downfall. And maybe the fact you have to take the tram to the center for about 13 stops. But for the price you pay for the hostel it's totally worth it! It's cheap, the staff is nice and helpful, rooms clean. So would recommend to someone looking for a cheap accommodation, not necessarily in the center of Prague. We...
