We received a weekend stay at this unique property and the we finally found time to go. Although we where not very successful with the weather, the experiences were truly unique. From the personal welcome and attention from Monica, to the incredible and painstakingly prepared meals with the freshest local produce, by Monica and Shide. Everything was thought out to deliver an incredible experience. There are not many places like this, and you can only think of Ett Hem in Stockholm, but the food at Monica’s blows them out of the water. Michelin level cuisine without the arrogance and incredible wine and cigar lists, with a wonderful protected inner yard to enjoy them. Lots to do outside and enjoy, or just sit and enjoy life in a lovely decorated room with four home made meals per day....

Monica has created an intimate boutique hotel that is just like home. My partner and I were staying at the Monica to get married and Monica made us feel so welcome it was like we had known each other for years. The restoration of the property is amazing and Monica is an excellent host and cook. In fact, apart from one bad meal at an outside restaurant we had all our meals with Monica and she happily created wonderful dishes for us often at short notice. As it was January we had the hotel to ourselves but even so there is a large private lounge for guests to enjoy and Monica's coffee machine was greatly appreciated.
