So, where to start?||||We were welcomed -- or rather, not welcomed -- after a 6 hour bike ride by a woman standing outside the locked door of the reception, staring at us. After ringing the bell and waiting around for a couple of minutes and then asking her whether she believed the proprietor was far away -- she identified herself as the owner with a rather smug laugh, flicking out her keys while commenting that we seemed "very stressed". Oh, really?||||After paying for the stay up front (only camping ground in Bornholm we visited where that was required), we where taken far, far away from the central facilities to be told we could pitch our tent one of two cramped spots, because she needed most of the field "in case many people with a car came". This was around six pm, and the field was literally empty. Sure.||||After pitching our tents we went into the city to get some food. Arriving back to the camping ground at 8.30 pm, we told the kids to play in the playing area -- which contained a trampoline, some slides and an "over-sized" chess board.||||Back at our tent, while preparing our sleeping bags, our children came running and crying, because "a scary, angry man in a green shirt" had yelled at them, and in particular at our six year old son, for being "noisy" while people were trying to sleep. This was a quarter past nine. We believed this to be a random retired, elderly person, and decided to just retire for the evening. While waiting for my wife and daughter to finish their evening routine in the bathrooms, my son and I decided to play a round of chess. We really shouldn't have done that.||||After about five minutes the scary guy in the green shirt manifested himself, angrily informing us that we had to stop playing chess, as we where being too noisy. After telling the person less than politely to get lost and contact the owner if he had a problem -- seeing as the huge sign right next to us specifically stated that the grounds should be quiet at eleven pm -- he told us that HE was the owner, and that WE had to leave, seeing as his paying guest(!) could not stand the sound of moving chess pieces in the evening. After a long and uncomfortable discussion, where we were threatened(!) with being thrown out of the camping ground if not immediately going to bed, we had our fill and retired to our tent, leaving early next morning. Our two kids where close to tears all night, and frightened that the proprietor was going to hurt us while sleeping in the tent.||||This camping ground does NOT respect their own rules, they do NOT have an inkling of what it means to provide a service, and they simply should NOT run any business where they come into contact with kids or human beings in general. Avoid at ALL COST if you...
Read moreWe are a family of six and we were there with another family of six. When we got there we weren’t greeted in a nice tone, we had to find our cabin ourself. We unpacked and the kids played in the playground. The playground closed at 9 pm but they told us to leave at 7 pm because we were playing “to loud” but we were but loud just playing like normal children. It was the owner that told us to leave and he said it in a very rude tone. We shrugged it of and went to sleep. The next morning we woke up early by a rooster and when we looked out we saw that the owners dog had pooped in our yard, and we had to pick it up. We went to take a morning shower and you had to pay an expensive price just to shower for three minutes. We had enough and left the camping in...
