Brøndums Hotel — Hotel in Frederikshavn Municipality

Spent a few nights here. The overall experience was okay at most. Old water damage on the wallpaper in my room which made the room look a bit unhygienic but the cleaning itself of the room was good.

The shared bathrooms was a bit worse though. Toilets seemed clean but the showers hadn't been taken proper care of for a while. Was hesitant to even take a shower at first with all the built up spots of black mold and miscolored shower walls. Doesn't really live up to the expectations in comparison to the rest of the hotel.

Overall the style of the rooms and the hotel is very nice and is why we choose to stay here.

The breakfast was tasty and nothing to really add there!

The cleaning personnel the first morning seemed irritated and barely said hello. The second morning there was another person which was much nicer. Remember they all represent your hotel.

There also was a damaged cable with exposed copper(live wire) on 2 spots, which had clearly been run over by something and ignored. Got it replaced. But potentially very dangerous especially for kids. (Had one of our own with us)

Didn't try the restaurant because of the luxury price but it looked fancy and good.

Would I stay here again?...

The restaurant is situated in a beautiful enclosed backyard. Pricy food but mostly worth it. The roastbeef smørrebrød and fish dishes are good. However, the tartar smørrebrød isn't very good and quite bland for a tartar. The service wad that day quite bad. This may be due to them having covid in the kitchen and missing some personnel but they were way too busy and it took way too long for our food to come out. Some of our company had ordered multiple smørrebrød as one isnt enough but the the second smørrebrød came out a whole hour after the first dish. These dishes should have come together. Another 40min wait for a potential slice of cake at the end of the meal was so long that we had to cancel the order. Waitstaff were hard to get a hold of during the meal. I want to chalk it up to being undermanned but knowing this wad an issue they knew abput beforehand they cpuæd have operated with less guests to keep the standard high instead of letting the...

We got a 2 hour slot at one or our favorite restaurants in Skagen, in an otherwise full restaurant tonight . The ordering was done late afternoon. We were thrilled as we have been there on several occasions and have always enjoyed the serving and food there, as it usually has a lot of taste and quality for both. Tonight was for the most of the servings, the same, - a great starter - delicious dessert and the side dishes for the main course were fine - the meat however was really below what we have experienced in the past for the place. The waiters were very nice and competent, the atmosphere nice however the main course meat was not at the level of the rest unfortunately. For the record we did not ask to get something else, however tips were very moderate and we gave the feedback to the chef of the evening, hoping that this improves the next time...
