Hostels are unsung heroes of European travel. Yes, it's a relatively basic hostel, but the down duvets and pillows feel luxurious, and the details of warm wood and fresh paint lend to a feel of Nordic luxury. We came in January, when it was cold and dark, and the room was warm and inviting. The breakfast was complete and filling, and the never ending coffee is a lifesaver! The kitchen meant we could cook for ourselves and only eat out occasionally, which is critical in an expensive country like Denmark! The Italian restaurant a block away was an unexpected stunner. Read moreNot really fair to be able to only score out of five as this place was a 3.5/5 (or 7/10 - hint hint TA...).||||Stayed in dorm style room (just our family) in the main building and it served it's purpose. Very basic, but clean, especially the bathroom facility which was just for our room but located down the hall so not an ensuite.||||Staff excellent.||||My main issue is that for the cost, when you add in paying for linen (and as a non-local tourist there was no other option) per person I probably could have got a proper hotel room. But it was fine.||||Definitely try out Ciao-Ciao restaurant for dinner; it's just down the road about 3 minute walk away - excellent food...
