The location is beautiful along with the property however a lot of negatives. First our room did not cool down, I even asked them to confirm if it was working and they said yes just takes a while to cool down. Since we had the beach swim up figured that was the case, but it didn't cool. They had to come to fix but it never did so next day at 2am they moved us for the night from our room 4020 to 4017 which did cool, however 4017 smelled like mold. The next morning they were at 4020 trying to fix the ac and ultimately it could not be fixed which the cleaning people knew of both issues on 4020 and 4017. So front desk wanted to move us to another room and I've us about a $100 credit which defeats the beach swim up that we paid for as the new room was not a swim up and what initially motivated us to book here. We got tired of dealing with it so just slept with no covers and bare minimum. Secondly, the landshark brewery which advertised itself as having multiple artisan beers on tap and another motivator for us booking this place only had presidente on tap which was a huge let down. Why advertise it as a brewery if that is all you serve. Finally, there is a lot of reverse racism here which other negative reviews here are valid. My wife and I would get pushed aside so white folks could get helped on first. It happened multiple times and not just to us but other folks of Hispanic ethnicity. If it was a bar guaranteed to not get served until all the white guest were served and at restaurants the same. There was even a barback at the burger restaurant going out of his way to check on a white couple 2 doors down from 4020, which is good but going above and beyond for a specific race is really poor behavior. We stood at a bar for over 20 minutes waiting and seeing folks get drinks left and right and the Hispanic folks like us getting ignored, wasn't until we got upset that we started getting service. Oh and one night we opened our towel and there were over 20 baby roaches, I included the picture, we left the towel outside. The positives here are for sure location and the facility itself is nice. The buffet was always pleasant along with the Italian restaurant. The all star was the steak house restaurant, hands down amazing food. Also some nice folks to be fair as I don't want to say everyone was negative just a good portion if not majority of the service was poor. All and all I would not recommend this place unless you are white of course as you will get treated like royalty.

I recently stayed at Margaritaville Cap Cana, expecting a 5-star, adults-only escape. Unfortunately, my experience was far from what was promised. The hotel appears to be struggling with low occupancy, so instead of keeping the adults-only and family accommodations separate, they have mixed everyone together. What was supposed to be a relaxing getaway from the usual hustle and bustle was instead a trip surrounded by children, which completely shattered my expectations upon arrival. Despite a 3 PM check-in time, I arrived at 4:15 PM only to find my room still not ready. When I finally got to the room, it was absolutely beautiful—except for the fact that the air conditioning wasn’t working, and we had to call maintenance right away. On a positive note, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food was quite good. However, they fail to inform you that not all restaurants are open every night, which was frustrating. As for the beaches, they were a huge letdown. Instead of the pristine, sandy beaches I expected, I encountered rocks and staff pulling seaweed out to make it somewhat appealing. Overall, Margaritaville Cap Cana falls short of its 5-star promise. The misleading portrayal of the hotel’s amenities and the failure to deliver on key aspects make it an experience I wouldn’t recommend, nor would I ever consider coming back. **Update on My Stay:** After writing my initial review, I encountered an unsettling experience that I feel compelled to share. I've realized that at Margaritaville Cap Cana, there seems to be a disparity in how guests are treated based on their language and nationality. If you speak Spanish, you're treated one way, but if you're American, the treatment appears to be better. This was made clear to me when I went to have lunch at a poolside restaurant. I was told that my bright pink top was inappropriate, yet the lady behind me, who was wearing the exact same thing except denim, was allowed in without issue. The only noticeable difference? She was American and didn't speak Spanish. I was not allowed in yet she was. This discriminatory behavior is disappointing and unacceptable, especially at a resort that advertises itself as a 5-star experience. It’s disheartening to witness and experience this kind of treatment firsthand.

I recently stayed at Margaritaville Cap Cana, which is advertised as an "adults only" resort, but that couldn't be further from the truth. In reality, it's a family-friendly resort with just one adult pool. Kids were everywhere, running around the entire place, and all the restaurants were filled with children yelling and crying. This is not an adults-only experience at all—more like a fake version of one. We paid for a premium suite with a swim-up pool entrance, and it wasn't ready when we arrived (we arrived at 3:30pm). Check-in was supposed to be at 3 p.m., but we didn’t get our room until after 5 p.m. To make matters worse, the hotel lost our luggage. We had to look for it ourselves and found it unattended at the front entrance, accessible to everyone. It could have easily been stolen! When we asked if we could get a different room since the hotel was less than 50% full, we were told it would cost an additional $700. Meanwhile, our next-door neighbors were offered a villa with a private pool away from all the children—no extra charge. I can’t help but wonder why this was offered to them and not to us. (Plenty of villas available. The whole villa area was empty). The AC in the rooms barely works, cooling only to about 80 degrees, which made our stay even more uncomfortable. I would not recommend this resort to anyone. False advertising, poor service, and lack of security ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation. Avoid Margaritaville Cap Cana if you’re looking for a true adults-only experience. To make matters worse, the staff would call us every day to ask how our trip was going. Each time, we explained the terrible experience we were having, but nothing was done to address our concerns. Not once did we receive an apology or even a simple, “What can we do to improve your stay?” Nothing at all. It felt like they were telling us to just take it or leave it. The customer service was poor, with absolutely no problem-solving skills on display.

First off, shout out to Coca Cola and Justin Bieber from the entertainment team! They were fantastic all week! Keeping the music going, the games flowing but keeping it relaxing at the same time. Also, the five o’clock bar is the best place to be for adults and adult families, the bartender Nuniz and Jordani were FANTASTIC! nicest people, great drinks and a pleasure to be severed by! Definitely made the vacation better overall!

Now on to the resort, it is only a short 15min ride from the airport which makes it so convenient and quick. Best way to get from the air to the sand quick after landing! The check in process was EASY and fast. We had no problem checking in early and getting into our room before the 3pm time. The room was clean, comfortable and felt like a premium place to stay. We stayed on the family side, not cause we had a family but because it was cheaper for the exact same experience. If you’re an adult, you can stay there for less and have the same experience as everyone else. all the restaurants blend adults and families so there’s really no segregation. Once you leave the kids pool and that side of the resort. The only main difference is the kids pool versus the adult pool the kids pool has a bar and there is a water play area for people while the adult has more music and entertainment with a more adult centric bar. however, both bars are swim up and have swings in each of them. there are plenty of towels at the pool. The water is a comfortable temperature and it is huge compared to other pools we’ve been at. It goes all the way from the beach back to the middle of the resort and you can even get an adults only swim out room that connects to the main pool.

Food options at the resort are plenty there are multiple locations for lunch and for dinner however, the only problem we found at the resort was that most of the times listed on their exclusive app are not accurate and it is hard to tell which restaurants are open on which nights. This was a challenge for us, however we navigated walking up to each restaurant and seeing if it was open or not just fine cheeseburger in Paradise was by far our favorite lunch however, the churros at rum runners were the best dessert. We found the best experience at the steakhouse along with the Italian place and land sharks, however, the sad part was that the brewing machines were broken, not allowing us to have Landshark at the only Landshark brewery in the Caribbean. This was a letdown, but we still had a good time.

The one thing it’s hard to tell from photos before you arrive is where the resort is in location to the beach it is set back halfway behind another resort however you never feel like you’re impeded by another resort that you can easily walk to the beach the beach and enjoy the beach like any other resort. Well, we did not spend much time at the beach. It is very secluded and nice white sand however, due to the time of season we came there were a lot of kelp and seaweed on the beach, which is something you have to deal with coming at this time of the season. Besides that the water was somewhat clear a little rocky, but we enjoyed it swimming as well..

Lastly, I would say her overall experience was fantastic as we came for my wife’s 30th birthday and a baby moon. While she was pregnant during our trip, the bartenders a the staff never made her feel out of place or unwelcome there were a variety of virgin drinks activities. The staff was really friendly and happy to hear that she was pregnant. “Baby on board” what is the topic at every bar and she overall had a great time even while being around others, including myself that we’re still drinking. Please consider this resort you will not be...

To start, this is our first experience with this brand. Our overall experience was good but I and most people that I interacted with 5were on the same page that this hotel is good, but it misses on several occasions. To break it down in a couple of categories and give my ratings from there. Please stay with me because this will be long winded but I want to give you the full picture of the resort. Both good and bad. -Food- The food was just ok, I have loyal to anther all-inclusive brand but with a recent buy out and the great reviews of this place we decided to give this a shot. Frank and Lola's our first night was a great experience, overall staff and food was great. Then the following night we had a different waiter and when taking our order, he did not write anything down and seemed very dazed and confused. After waiting 15 minutes for bread or drinks I decided to go to the bar and get them myself. (My wife soon thereafter got sick). Anther experience we had was with the chicken nuggets for my daughter, most of them from various restaurants from the resort came under cooked with uneatable sections. 90% of the food is just ok, not great not bad just ok. The highlight of our food experience was the FWB steak house. All of the food was amazing, both times we ate there from the bread (OMG), French onion soup, to the steak (with pepper corn sauce.) The waitress Yuleidi was absolutely amazing with our service and making sure we were well taken care of. Even on the 2nd night when she was not our server, she stopped by to make sure everything was going well. -Service- This brings me to my second section, the people that work at this resort are absolutely amazing and make everyone feel welcome and that they are having a great time. The worst part of service was our so called concierge, which at first felt like he was at our side to take care of any concerns we may have during our trip but ultimately turned out to be a huge sales pitch for a time share. **Special shout out to Georgeorio at the pool bar, he made our days truly amazing and made some great drinks, many laughs, and good conversations. **Johnathan at the Punch bar, he was attentive every time we needed anything, made some very thoughtful drinks, always had a smile on his face. **Justin in the entertainment area. He was one of a kind, he made sure we had a great time every night, making us laugh, leaving us with phrases such as 'SECURITY and WoWAH' **Evalyin and Alondra and the pool, brining smiles to our face each and every day. -Entertainment This is one of the areas I feel that the resort is lacking in. Most every night they have some show or singer. At no fault to the entertainment crew because each and every one of them were amazing and put 100% in each night but coming from other resorts I left every night feeling very lack luster. To give some examples we stayed during the Christmas holiday and through the 8 nights all shows were done and cleaned up by 11 pm. Even the nights people were having a great time dancing or during karaoke they shut it down promptly at 11 which was highly disappointing. They did have a remining party at Land Shark but the nights we did attend it ended up being maybe 5-10 people and DJ playing a random mix of songs. Beach The beach was fairly cleaned up but not very swimmable, we had to walk down to the next few resorts to get to a clearer part that was nice to go for a swim, but to be fair we were aware of this going in.

Conclusion - Overall it was a good vacation but with the tweaks and few corrections this resort has the potential to be absolutely amazing. Thank you to the staff and team members that made this...
