Waves Grill — Restaurant in Higüey

This was one of our favourite supper restaurants. The food was superb and the service was excellent. We returned for the tenderloin which was among the best we ever experienced. The evening hostess ( really wish I obtained her name) treated us like royalty and was exceptional at her job despite the throngs of people waiting for a table. Only downside is that no reservations are available unless your group is greater than 10 persons. Also, the restaurant is quite small so unable to accommodate many guests at once. Probably the best restaurant in this resort. Although the service is sometimes a bit lower than the other places the food really hits. It’s the closest thing we’ve had to North American quality food. We are pretty picky eaters and we loved their tacos and steaks (dinner) as well as their watermelon salad and pulled pork sandwich (lunch). It’s also one of few restaurants that is open air which is so nice especially at night when it’s breezy. Thanks Waves...

American grill restaurant inside all-inclusive Hyatt Zilara, Cap Cana, Dominic Republic. Each of us ordered different dish then share with each other as we would want to sample their menu. All the dishes are very appealing, Filet Mignon is excellent - congrats to the chef for preparing it to perfection :-). The starters are also tasty with just about right...
