Residencia Sosnovka — Hotel in La Hispaniola

This wasn't the original place I reserved. But this is the place that I was given by the owner/property manager Alexander Karpetsky. I originally booked an apartment through TripAdvisor, right on the strip in Sosua. I arrived at Puerto Plata airport. The driver met me outside, and proceeded to take me to what I thought was the place I reserved. He ended up driving me to this gated Villa. Alexander comes out from his house to greet me. And tells me the place that I "reserved" was being stayed in. I was caught off guard. Because I thought my reservation was supposed to "hold" the apartment. He tells me I can stay in one of the houses in the gated community. I was hesitant, because I wanted to be closer to the strip, and the beach. But I was caught between a rock and a hard place. And didn't have anywhere else to stay at the moment. I go to the house. (after driving around with the taxi driver for a few hours, because there were people already staying in the house, that hadn't vacated yet). And I find that barely anything works. No water, no wifi, no A/C in most of the rooms. The pool in the backyard was filthy. Long story short. I ended up booking another place closer to where I wanted, and Alexander refused to give me any type of refund. Please stay away from anything associated with...
