El Flamboyan Apartments — Hotel in Las Terrenas

It's sometimes the smaller places that give the more value, however El Flamboyan is more than the excellent example. Our first stay at this place has been so great, that we know for sure we will be back for several visits in the near future. ||||Opposite to most of the Dominican places we've always been, the owners, a lovely Dutch family, have lots and lots of attention for their beautiful place. Where commonly one can expects a lack of that little extra in Dominican hotels where someting is always broken, fortunately we found this place, El Flamboyan that does have that extra attention of detail, maintenance and cleanliness. The warm welcome from the Dutch family, which are very flexible and passionate to make sure you have a great time, plus the extraordinary big and clean appartements, swimmingpool, jacuzzi, billard, barbeque, beautiful garden, and music outside at your liking, will give you that more value. Needless to go anywhere, sit back and relax at the place, comfortable also during an occasional rain shower...||||It's also a perfect jump-off point for Playa Bonita and the beautifull surroundings of the Samana region. As kite-surfer myself, we are visiting Punta Popy and El Portillo very often, which are a must with tranquil laidback beaches opposite to Cabarete. In las Terrenas you will find your own private mellow beach for sunbathing, kitesurfing, snorkling, while our little kids are swimming in the bay well protected from big swells by the reefs.||||Although we travel as family by car, El Flamboyan is also a good stay for backpackers and people traveling solo. The owners Nico and Wilma will be great company during your stay. They speak about 5 languages and can bring you up to speed on beautiful inside details of the Dominican Republic. There are various tours to do, but Nico and Wilma can also help you along on more private excursions, perhaps saving on your budget. Also worth mentioning, the appartement big kitchens make it a fine place to cook own diners and keeping the budget low if preferred.||||Thank you so much Nico and Wilma. Muchas gracias por...

Excellent experience.. me and my girlfriend stayed at "el flamboyan apartment" for a couple of nights.. Wilma and Nico has been totally amazing: they truly represent what means to be a genuine host..they helped us with everything: location, food advices, parking and so on..the list could be long..||they has been always there helping us with a sincere smile.. ||The apartment is quiet,in the middle of a cool garden (where you can have the best banana I had in the Dominican Republic)..and the beds are really comfortable(we had such great naps).. the bathroom is clean and you have also a pool with a jacuzzi in front of the patio, that you could use at your own discretion..||Last but not the least,it is at just 3 min walking to "playa Bonita"..the best beach in town with a nice walking and seaside..||The price for all of that was really cheap !!! ||Bye Wilma and Nico..so nice that we choose you place..we would definitely choose it...

El Flamboyan was great, just a 5min walk to the beach! We stayed a whole month & the price was very reasonable. The 2 bedroom apartment was clean & had everything we needed to cook in & feel at home. There are only 5 apts, the owners are on sight & live in 1. Everyone there was mature, easygoing, & it was a quiet place with a gorgeous peaceful garden full of birds. The owners Wilma & Nico were warm & welcoming, like family. They took us on a few excursions that we would of never found in a tour book that were great!! In our month there, we shared in 3 pot luck communal dinners in the lovely outdoor dining area. We felt completely safe & there was an area to park our car behind a locked gate.
