Beluga Beach Club Bar Restaurant — Restaurant in Las Terrenas

We came here as a group of five because one of the group loved the steak so much, it was my first time. The reviews were mixed. The steak was apparently very good, the creamy seafood risotto was also good. The hamburger was okay. And I had the chicken tacos which I didn't really like. They came with chicken and avocado and lettuce, with a salad dressing poured over and then a slice of cheese melted on top. The tortillas were baked flour tortillas, shaped into hard shells. The version I had was the spicy version but the sprinkling of chili powder on top couldn't be tasted.

The fries were fine, unsalted and without ketchup unless you asked, but okay.

The view was beautiful, I liked the breeze they had going, the service was fine, the restrooms not so good, but they also added on an extra charge. You pay 10 percent for an automatic tip added on, then 18 percent on the whole with that for tax, then some other tax too.

This review is only based on my NYE experience, not the regular restaurant. We paid what seemed to like too much money for a NYE dinner and party that was okay but not at all great. I ended up not eating one of the 4 courses because the purée was just not edible. I'm pregnant and the alternative non-alcoholic welcome drink was a "fruit punch" that my mother in law aptly described as "fruit skin punch".

The event was supposed to include entertainment but this party was so incredibly boring that we ended up leaving before midnight to another club nearby to be able to enjoy a true NYE experience.

Update: That was my experience first I came. I kept going there and food got worse, I asked for soft bacon and they still bring it as cardboard, they bring only 3 small pieces of baguette for an expensive breakfast and service is not pleasant anymore. I come to have a good food and quite ocean view to work but women at the bar are sooo loud so it’s hard to concentrate.
