From the moment you walk in the wife of the owner greets you with so much kindness. We met him right after relaxing in our room, he was great very friendly he is very welcoming. They gave us tips of were to go and to eat. We actually walk down the street to a close beach area and swim for a little bit with some of the locals, if you do not like to mingle with locals them you can walk a little bit more behind the coconuts tree walk you will find a nice beach with a resort and lots of turist. I personally like to be around locals being Latina myself. The breakfast here is amazing his wife make a nice cup of coffee and eggs, local amazing cheese, ham and fruits with fruit juice. We were able to make it to playa Bonita the owner was kind enough to give us a ride we rented three chairs each for 100 pesos each for all day is about $2 dollar. The guy who rents them also has good agua de coco and pina coladas. We ate at a small local restaurant that prepares fried fish with rice salad and tostones for a fair price. ||The room has the basic, good air conditioner, fan and tv with some channels in english, but very clean, make sure you travel with shampoo and soap since they do not provide that in the rooms. The pool is nice and very clean we were the only ones there with the owners little children that are super polite. Overall are stay here was incredible I wish we had stayed longer in Las galeras is better than Las...
Read moreBeautiful hotel. Clean and large rooms and bathrooms. The staff, Jan and his wife(?), were wonderful, friendly, and accommodating.
The rooms have great a/c AND ceiling fans. Our room was on the 2nd floor with a balcony overlooking the sparkling pool. The shower had tons of water and water pressure and HOT water. The windows and balcony door had screens so there were NO bugs, mosquitos, gnats flying around disturbing our sleep.
Breakfast was included and it was fantastic! We ate scrambled eggs, ham, cheese, fruit (mango on day 1, and pineapple on day 2) with fresh chinola (passion fruit) juice and (unlimited) coffee.
Extremely convenient location. When we arrived, we parked our vehicle and we walked 100-150 steps to the beach, Playa Grande. Then walked to dinner down the main road. The hotel is conveniently located between MANY beaches: Playa Grande (Playa Las Galeras) La Playita Playa Rincón & Caño Frio (fresh water river!) Playa Colorada
This hotel and the guests were friendly and respectful. We went to bed at a decent time each night and the area was quiet. There were NO loud motorcycles/quads zooming by the hotel. There were NO noisy (drunk) guests or dogs barking or roosters crowing. This hotel is a sleepy “gem” of a retreat.
We will definitely return and stay in this hotel...
