I was disappointed with my experience in this hostel for many reasons :
First of all we didn't feel welcome, the manager doesn't seem to care. There was no more drinking water and the idea to go and buy some while waiting for the delivery truck did not occur to the manager who didn't seem really bothered by this, so no water for two days. The "private" rooms are separated by wooden partitions, so if you think of getting a private room just know you will hear other people snoring, forget your privacy.
If you want to rest go somewhere else. The hostel is next to a bar that plays loud music until 11pm, then the hostel dog will take over and bark for another two hours.
The beds have mosquito nets with holes in them and the place is full of mosquitoes so you will get eaten by mosquitoes. There may even be bed bugs, my friend got red pimples on all his body after staying there.
The pictures on google show a swimming pool, there is no pool this picture is from another hotel.
last but not least, no coffee in the morning, no vibe. Usually hostels are places where people come to relax have a good time, share a meal and drinks, I didn't find this vibe here.
the place has potential though the paintings are nice and it could be a lot better with...
Read moreWe were grateful to have been taken in last minute to Il Triangolo, due to another booking falling through. We met some great travelers and volunteers, who really made us feel at home. However, unfortunately, our room, which was one of the most expensive lodgings available, felt very unclean and full of bugs. This would have been tolerable, however, one morning, when reaching to open the curtain, my arm brushed against a live wire that was hanging out of a broken power source, which gave me a painful electric shock. We immediately sought after the manager, John (Choco), who came to investigate. He suggested we were lying and indicated that the live wires weren't dangerous. When we explained that this should have been fixed before we paid to stay in the room, he said "That's ridiculous" and didn't apologise once. We requested compensation given the danger in the room, but he laughed at us and refused to listen to us further and he walked away. We neither got money off nor even an apology. His attitude was very unpleasant. It's a shame that he let the...
Read moreHonest review: The atmosphere in this hostel is negative and dull. The two owners are constantly shouting at each other in Italian, and the older woman who owns the hostel was even giving out to some guests while they were using the kitchen, watching what they were doing and commenting etc, even though it is a communal kitchen. Unless you book a private apartment, you will not have privacy. The rooms have no ceiling, you can hear everything and at times it felt unsafe. The mosquitoes were a huge issue, as there were holes in the nets. One of the workers, Choco, was very unpleasant and unhelpful. He did not seem to treat the other workers with respect at all. Overall, I would not recommend this hostel, you could find a better stay at the other one or if you chose to pay a bit more to...
