The staff was friendly and helpful but I wouldn't recommend this place. It was very cold with the wind blowing from all directions inside the house. There is no insulation, the windows are very thin. If it's windy the whole house vibrates and you cant sleep. The window in our bathroom didn't close properly so it kept hitting the wall all night. You get a lot of blankets but that is not very comfortable.
The dinner was bland and boring. Breakfast was ok. But I felt so cold to sit on the dinning room!
The shower was cold until we asked to turn on the heater. Other guests didnt ask for it so they had an ice cold shower.

We had 3 rooms and only one electric heater, when we asked for heaters for the other two rooms they said they had none left, which we saw the next morning wasn't true (don't know if it was a misunderstanding or if they just denied it because didn't want us to use to much electricity). The night there was awfully cold. Dinner was ok, but despite we told them beforehand that we were vegetarians, we found some meet in our food. Didn't feelt really welcomed. Hostal Conejito was at the beginning of the village when you finish the quilotoa loop. We had a look and we took it without further checking. The room was on the corner (shalala).
