Restaurante Quilotoa — Restaurant in Chugchillan

One of the most expensive places we’ve eaten so far ($7,50 pp) but also the worst. We had guinea pig and cordon bleu, both very dry and untasty. Especially the guinea pig was unbeatable by fork and knife. It feels like a typical restaurant that has to profit from its location, not its kitchen or staff. 2 stars because we didn’t get sick and the food looked presentable...

We were hungry after hiking the Quilotoa Loop and stumbled upon this establishment for a quick lunch. That was over a week ago and we're still thinking back on how delicious our meals were. Our trout meals were cooked to perfection. Our natural juices (mango & mora) were the best we've had so far in Ecuador. Friendly staff....
