Hostal Casa Buen Vivir — Hotel in Itchimbia

I have spent one month in Casa Buen Vivir and i trully can recommend to stay in that wonderful house. The place is very very clean, i had a lot of facilities workwise and as a member of the house too. The internet connection did not work properly, but it has been really pleasent to meet the family as they have done every thing possible to meet my needs. The son is a funny gentleman who was ready to help me out when i was in hurry and when he used to cook for him , he was very kind to invite me to join his food.||The place is very safe, they are very clean and educated people.||I have been in many many places around the globe and i must confess that this time inspite the less moments we spent together, i really could feel myself extremly comfortable and well serviced.||I have to go back to Ecuador due my company's new contracts and for sure i am going to stay for couple of weeks in Casa Buen Vivir. ||Thanks a lot for your kindness and hope to see...

I would not recommend Casa de Buen Vivir, especially for women who are traveling alone internationally. I had an unfortunate experience with the landlord’s adult son, who lives in the house. He has an explosive temper and treated me in a patronizing and sexist manner. I am a small woman and I look young for my age; he called me, in English and Spanish, “little girl,” among other things. On my last night in the house he yelled at me, cursed me, and lunged at me with a rice cooker containing boiling water. His mother was present and asking him to stop but was unable to calm him down. Thankfully the worst of it happened on my very last night there and I left the next day. ||||As an aside, the Internet did not work in the bedrooms, and the washing machine was inconsistent. The staff was very friendly and the price was great. It was a short walk to a multitude of restaurants and fresh fruit stands. The facility was cleaned daily and the linen changed regularly. The net does need some improvement but I was able to wash and dry clothing 24/7 and the machines were modern. The neighborhood was quiet...
