....and I have seen every one of them in the nearby vicinity in the same price arena. Each one has its "best feature" but if you could see all of them as I have, the best outdoor ambiance is clearly Marina Real Hostal. It is the only one I've seen that appears to have been well thought out on the drawing board before the first shovel went in to build Marina Real Hostal. That includes the landscaping, the attractive and well maintained tile decking, and surrounding architecture. Our room window was situated perfectly to enjoy it and sparkling clean pool. The next morning breakfast was not only generous, but the location was perfect to enjoy it outside under cover in this environment. And pricing was at the bottom end of the range to its competition.|| Chelly has to be the most gracious, perfectly polite, welcoming manager one can hope for, all so natural rather than contrived. Earlier comments on her extension of generosity to special requests are corroborated by our experience when we arrived with food that evening thinking there were kitchen accommodations for our preparation of it. We would never have prevailed on her had she not welcomed us into a personal and staff kitchen. This was just par for the course in what our stay experienced with this wonderful woman. Additionally, in a number of ways, cumulatively her staff with its desire to assist and support made it easy to enjoy ourselves. All the specifics mentioned in earlier comments below, we enthusiastically ditto. || Thank you Chelly.....you and yours are attractive...
Read moreSmall hotels in Manta are generally called Hostels - don't be confused by what we used to use in Europe during our college days. Marina Real is a delight. Comfortable rooms that are clean and the very best part - Diego and his staff! So kind, helpful, accommodating and very kind with my VERY rough language skills. Breakfast in the morning is delicious. Fresh fruit, fresh juice, fresh rolls and coffee with milk. They will make you espresso for your warm milk, but you will also find the common Ecuadorian instant coffee||||Some advise for visiting Manta - there is very little English spoken - bone up on your Spanish skills. Currency is in US Dollars. A taxi to the beach $1 - don't ask - just give them a dollar and say thank you. At night taxis will want to charge more. There are no meters in the cabs in Manta - in Quito there are and you make sure they turn the meter on for the trip. It is a short ride to Montechristi - the home of the real deal handmade Panama Hats. Great quality for great price.||||My husband and I both highly recommend this hotel for your safe and pleasant...
