A great place to stay! At the edge of village, the hostal is right next to sea – but the village is so small that you can easily walk everywhere. In low tide you can walk on the beach, and on high tide which happens to be at night the sea rolls is and you can sleep listening to it. You can also swim during the high tide right next to the hostal (in other places sea rolls right up to malecon). The room I had was on the upper floor, spacious, with sea view. Hostel Oleaje is a truly special place. It sits nicely in front of both the ocean and a tidal river. It is an amazing location for people who love the ocean and all its bounty. Go to relax and unwind, it is so quiet and peaceful there. There are waves daily to swim and surf. For more adventure try fishing with live shrimp in the mangroves for snook and snapper! Good location; allthough not centrally located (ca. 300 m. to the "centre") this means no noise from parties. The room was large and had freezer and kitchen, but unfortunately not very comfortable chairs. All together a recommendable place to stay.

Mind you: payment in cash only, as about everywhere in Mompiche - take enough cash with you, for the only ATM in Mompiche did not work with foreign (debit or credit) cards even though the ATM had a Maestro sign.
