"Itchimbia Garden Ayampe" — Hotel in Parroquia Salango

I almost NEVER leave a very bad review (easily checked), but this place should be avoided. The host is extremely arrogant and refused to acknowledge an issue we had with the booking - which was they should have warned us upfront that the Ayampe beach is unsafe and unusable. If they had simply acknowledged and gave us our money back before we settled in for one night, I would have avoided this review. But when we woke up at 3am to dripping water from the ceiling during a torrential rain storm, they refused to acknowledge this because we didn't take video! Then they totally lied in a review of me on Airbnb, including saying I said the beach was "not pretty" - lol (see picture). I guess they will have to wait until the next guest gets rained on. Ayampe should be avoided altogether until this town gets its act together and deals with the beach - like...

If you're looking for an amazing place where to stay in Ayampe don't look further and stay in Itchimbia Garden. Very nice and clean space. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need, the garden is amazing with a nice common space where you can work and relax. The garden and trees provide very good shade.
