The Mango House — Hotel in Parroquia Salango

This feels like home - even like family! I’ve traveled quite a lot and this is by far my favourite place I stayed at! I ended up staying for 3 months which says it all (didn’t plan to stay that long 🙈) Loved all the rooms at Mango House. They are spacious, clean and with lovely details. They get cleaned everyday by their awesome staff. The kitchen is fully equipped (and always clean!) so you can cook your own food if you want to. They also offer breakfast/lunch/dinner at Vistamar (their other guesthouse 2’ away) which is some of the best food in Ayampe! I loved eating there not only for the food but because I got to meet so many amazing people and it always felt like a family dinner. They also offer different fun activities. Can recommend them all! Also there are the best Yoga classes at the 3rd deck of Vistamar.

But what makes this place truly special is the people. Matteo & Juan are great hosts and there is literally nothing they can’t do or get you 🙈 They both are so attentive and fun to be around. Juan also gives surf lessons (he is awesome!) Learned how to surf quite a bit thanks to him!

The Mang House is a comfortable, affordable, location located on a lagoon with a short walk to the beach. From the fluffy down pillows to the fully stocked kitchen the attention to detail is apparent. Matteo is a consumate host who will take care of your every need and is super capable of turning up your fun dial from the best places to surf and dive, to horseback riding in the jungle. Highly recommended!! 3/5/2022 - Its a year and I'm back!! Nothing has changed as far as service, there has been an upgrade. All the rooms have been remodeled and air conditioning has been added. Snorkl8ng, horseback riding, surf lessons and board for rent this place has it all. Best value...

I spent 3 nights at Mango house and had a great time. It was very quiet, relaxed and only a few minutes away from the beach. The place is overall really beautiful, clean and well equipped. The rooms for example are spacious, very beautiful and have an aircon as well as ceiling fan - so no matter the temperature, I was able to make it comfortable for me. The communication with the team Mango house team was kind, fast, clear and reliable. The kitchen area on the ground floor is beatiful and really clean! I was able to work from here as well.
