Hotel Bella Casona — Hotel in Riobamba

Had a very bad experience here. Please do not believe the rating. This rating has not been updated in three years. I paid 67 dollars thinking I was getting a great deal, but I once I got to the room I realized the hotel uses misleading pictures on their website to attract guests. My room was dirty, had three spiders in my pillow, the linens were soiled badly, and when asked the lady to change them she said “that’s what we have, so”. I ended booking a room here because I needed to attend an urgent medical need and thinking I was going to be comfortable and in a clean room, but that’s was not the case. The bathroom was extremely dirty, dust accumulated in such a way all over the room that you can literally taste the dust in your mouth. It was horrible! I had to to put a t-short or mine on top of the pillows they’re were too stained pretty badly. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE! PICTURES SHOWN ON WEBSITE ARE NOT REAL! I WISH I COULD...

Perhaps because of the excellent reviews this hotel has received in the past, our expectations were very high. In fact, it was perfectly adequate, but absolutely nothing special, just your average mid-range hotel, more or less what you'd expect for its location near the bus terminal. The main drawback was that the hotel is located directly opposite a football stadium, and there was a football match going on when we stayed. The light from the floodlights came in through the windows, and we could hear the match clearly. Perhaps check the football timetable...

Excellent value if a little basic. WiFi was better than in other similar hotels in the country. Staff do not speak English well so practise your Spanish. Nice lounge area. Breakfast was included and consists of cheese, ham, 2 rolls, 2 eggs and hot milk or water (coffee and sugar are at the table). The shower has good hot water pressure but the bathroom wasn't as clean as the bedroom. No shampoo only a soap dispenser.
