This conveniently situated hostel is run by Michael and his beautiful wife Beatriz. Their sons Roger and Jimmy often help out as well. I ended up staying here for over three months as I liked it so much.||||Clean comfortable rooms, a well equipped shared kitchen, on-site organized jungle tours and an efficient laundry service are only a few of the reasons I will be going back. And just wait until you see the mountain view from the kitchen on the top floor. Breathtaking. It's also a quick walk to the city center where you easily find groceries, restaurants and various stores.||||I've stayed in a few places in Tena over the years and haven't found better value than I did at Hostal Limoncocha; the prices are very good. Friendly, welcoming and extremely accommodating ... every day. This place attracts both Ecuadorian and foreign guests and had a great reputation around the area when I inquired about it.||||Michael and his wife are kind, genuine people who look after their guests and put a lot of thought and time into their business. We quickly all became friends. Nice work! ||||And you know I'll be back soon...

Great hostel! Very clean, nice ceramic tile finish on floor and walls, beautiful views, excellent location within walking distance of bus terminal and all the downtown stuff + malecon etc. Highly recommended as the best value place to stay in Tena if you just want a hotel room.

I appreciated the fan pointing at the bed and the big window with screen to let air in at night. Private bathroom, solid wifi, was amazed at everything for ten bucks. Friendly other guests and decent kitchen space where I made a mess cutting up a big tilapia from the fish vendors near the terminal. They did my laundry quickly and folded it, for a couple dollars. Helped me call a taxi who was super nice. I don't know what more I could ask for!

Came here after trying Pakay for a night and their walls were too thin so I was bothered by neighbor noise. This place was quiet and even better overall for what I was looking for.

(Room messy in pictures but that's my fault...it was tidy at the start I promise! They also came once during my four days to change towels and clean, super nice and unexpected for the amount I...

I don’t have enough good things to say about this place, or of Michel the proprietor.|The Hostel is a five minute walk to the main road, meaning it’s pretty quiet in comparison.|The rooms are clean, very affordable and cleaned every day.|Every room also has a life-saving fan.|They have an amazing breakfast which you have to try out and a very quick yet super efficient laundry service.||While Michel may initially be construed as a tad taciturn, he knows everything you need to about Ecuador, especially the surrounding towns and activities and he is more than willing to help.||He lent us rubber boots for an expedition deep into the Amazon at no extra charge, kept our back packs for ten days at no extra charge and even drove us to the bus station and assisted us in purchasing tickets, yes, you guessed it, at no extra charge.||We pre-booked our excursions elsewhere before checking into the hostel, otherwise we may very well have used Michel’s adventure...

What a great place to stay for an unbeatable price! The entire building is spotlessly clean, the rooms and beds are comfortable, kitchen fully equipped, showers with warm water, the location is a bit up the hill so it's very quiet and provides a beautiful view of the city. To the center it's still only a 5-10 min walk. The common area has tables, chairs and hammocks to hang out. Highly recommended and we'll surely come back!

My brother and I stopped there because we needed a shower before heading to town. The place looked great and the woman at the reception was welcoming and very helpful. I would definitely come here next time I need a place to sleep in Tena 👌 Muchas Gracias!
