My Review of Farida Palace Habu Hotel – Luxor||One of the most beautiful and wonderful places I have ever visited in Egypt. A truly unforgettable experience in every detail.||Location:|The hotel is located in the heart of the historical Habu area, offering peace, tranquility, and a complete escape from the city noise. It is rare to find a place this close to ancient temples and monuments while surrounded by breathtaking rural landscapes of fields and palm trees.||Cleanliness:|The cleanliness is beyond expectations. Read moreStayed at Farida Habu Palace with family for four nights and really enjoyed it. The hotel has a modern and homely feel, very peaceful from the moment you walk in. Check-in was quick and easy, and communication before arrival was great. They even arranged our taxi from the airport.
We had booked two rooms originally. When one shower had an issue, the team went out of their way to give us an extra room on the same floor since there wasn’t another triple available. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well presented. Only downsides were the shower itself, as the water splashed out quite a bit, and a couple of small things missing like milk and spoons. We mentioned the milk and spoon issue to management and they were quick to take it onboard and said they would fix it across all rooms.
The staff here are what really make the place. Mohra at reception was exceptional, always friendly and helped arrange taxis and room changes without fuss. The chef Mubarak was brilliant. He made great eggs every morning, fresh guava juice for breakfast, and even found us some local honey on our last day. The cleaner Said was very good too and made towel designs every day which really made us smile. Both the owner and general manager personally spoke with us, took feedback seriously, and handled everything kindly and professionally.
Breakfast only the rooftop was simple but nice. There isn’t a lift so you’ll need to walk up to the 4th floor for breakfast. The hibiscus tea was offered at reception throughout the day and was always free and refreshing. The lobby felt calm and welcoming, perfect to relax after a long day out. Wi-Fi was a bit patchy at night but not a big deal for us.
The location is great if you want peace and quiet. It is about 15 minutes from the Valley of the Kings. It is on the west bank so a bit more remote, but taxis are easily arranged by the hotel and getting back from the east bank was never a problem.
Overall, Farida Habu felt like a boutique, family-run place with genuine warmth. For around £245 for four nights for a double and triple room, it is amazing value for money. I would definitely stay here again and happily recommend it to others looking for a quiet and welcoming...
Read moreWhat can I say... This hotel was full of surprises! When we first arrived, our feelings were a bit mixed. After a quick chat with Ahmed, the receptionist, about a few issues in our room (the bed was concrete-hard and the shower water wasn’t draining properly), the next day we met Esra, the hotel’s General Manager, and Asmaa. Let me tell you : these women are the true assets of this hotel! So professional, welcoming, and genuinely dedicated to solving any problem. From that moment on, what had seemed like problems didn’t feel like problems anymore. Good guest relations are exactly what we look for when we travel, and what a wonderful surprise we found here! That being said, the men working here were also great. Ahmed was always kind, the night receptionist, Amr and Hassan very friendly, and the breakfast cook, Mobrak, always took the time to make sure we had everything we needed. Still, our experience simply wouldn’t have been the same without those incredible women. Congratulations to the owner for trusting Esraa, she truly is an asset! Once again, it’s the human touch and genuine hospitality that make all the difference here. I will always remember meeting Esra and Asma : the kind of people you just want to see succeed, because they truly deserve it. Thank you to...
