I recently stayed at this hotel for two weeks, and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. While most of the reception staff were courteous and helpful, I had some unsettling encounters with the bellboy during my stay. On two consecutive nights, he woke me up in the middle of the night, attempting to engage in flirtatious behavior. Despite my repeated requests for him to leave, he persisted, even attempting to enter my room without permission. This left me feeling extremely uncomfortable and fearful.
To make matters worse, the quality of the food at the hotel was abysmal. Not only was the taste subpar, but there were also hairs found in the dishes, making it impossible for me to dine in. As a result, I had to seek meals outside of the hotel.
In light of these negative experiences, I had to contact the tourist police after the bellboy called my room phone at 4 AM for another inappropriate interaction. It's disappointing that my stay was marred by these incidents, as the reception staff had been accommodating and helpful. Read moreStayed here for a couple of nights. Pros: AC awesome in room, decently clean room with a balcony with cool view (but a sign on the glass saying no photos since it was across from government buildings), great hours for breakfast (7a-12p at July 2017) with an ok selection (breads, omelette, hardboiled eggs, and a few other hot options, juice, coffee and tea), mostly friendly service and close to a supermarket (MetroMart I think. Walk out of the hotel, turn left and it's really just 2-3 blocks away on the corner) with an HSBC ATM. Cons: wifi didn't work the whole time we were there - not even in lobby, service can be slow, elevator was slow and sporadically out of service, language barrier (not all staff, including reception, were proficient in English), calls to room at awful hours (6a-8a) offering to deliver breakfast in bed (we asked - it's a legit service they offer - just annoying that they would call without us...
Read moreWe were visiting Cairo for a family wedding/sightseeing and used this hotel as a base for 8 nights. ||The room was comfortable enough and breakfast was good. ||Only 1 bath and 1 hand towels were provided for two people. Despite asking on numerous occasions for additional towels there appeared to be no communication between reception and housekeeping. ||We experienced one day without any water and another without hot water. When we complained to the manager upon checking out, head of housekeeping was called and spoke to us rudely. ||The manager said the hotel would give us a small refund for our inconvenience but we were charged the full amount when the currency was converted.||This hotel would probably be okay if you were staying 1-2 nights.||Please be aware don’t use the taxi recommended by the hotel as on the wedding day the taxi driver took us the wrong way and we had to direct him with...
