Disappointing Experience – Needs Major Improvements

I recently stayed at Grand Hotel Port Said, and unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected for a hotel of this caliber.

Residence: The rooms were outdated and not well-maintained. Basic amenities were either missing or not functioning properly, making the stay uncomfortable.

Food: The dining options were very limited, and the quality of the food was subpar. Most dishes lacked flavor and freshness, and the presentation was poor.

Reception Staff: One of the most frustrating aspects was dealing with the reception team. They were unwelcoming and unhelpful, showing little interest in guest satisfaction. Simple requests were met with indifference, and at times, even rudeness. There was a clear lack of professionalism and training.

My overall experience at The Grand Hotel was generally positive. The cleanliness of the place was impressive, and the hotel’s excellent location made it very convenient. Check-in was incredibly fast, and we received our room in no time — definitely a great start.

However, there were a few concerns regarding the service. We were not informed that breakfast was included with our stay until we asked about it ourselves. There was also an option for paid dinner, but no one mentioned it upon arrival.

Another issue occurred during the evening shift at the reception. We approached the front desk to ask about something, but one of the staff members was on the phone and completely ignored us. Thankfully, his colleague noticed and came to assist us instead.
