We stayed in Halle Hotel Lalibela in early February 2023. The view from the room could be the most beautiful I had ever seen. The hotel perches on the rock cliff, and the lowlands stretch endlessly as far as the eye can see. The scene changed with the day: misty and eerie early morning, dry and scary in the heat of the day, and mysteriously hiding the secrets of this magical place as the sun was setting. ||Best of all, on market day, locals from the surrounding villages came on foot, with their donkeys, goats, and cattle up the winding road.
