General experience is OK except for tens of serious problems. Stayed for 16 days and bus stop/metro to the helsiki city center are very close and easily approcheable. It’s also nice that there are three supermarkets all only 2~5min away.
Everything else was bad staying here, here’s why: there were so many problems and it seemed like the whole place isn’t so well taken care of.
the elevator is so old and loud. one can hear it creaking up and down even in the room at the end of the hallway. The closer the room is to the elevator, the worse and louder it sounds.
Cleanliness...there were rice scrumbs left uncleaned everywhere inside the microwave and it really was disgusting. The oven tray had unwashed food stains on the bottom so I had to clean that too...😡 Seriously, I can’t believe some of the things had to be cleaned by the guests staying here for the first time.
Broken facilities...massive amount of water leaked from the washing machine and I was totally not expecting this..almost slipped because the floor was soaking with water. Had to mop it myself. Also the big lamp on the ceiling in the middle of the room could never be turned on...maybe the lightbulb inside it was too old and no maintenance people cared to check and fix these problems.
Garbage...there are no english signs on where to dump what in which garbage bin so it was extremely difficult to translate every single wording on every bin in the garbage room.
Machines taking forever to clean things...the expected duration for cleaning tasks is not displayed on both washing/dishwashing machines and especially for the washing machine, even simple spinning task for cleaned clothes took forever, hours and hours to be finished. Seriously...I wasn’t expecting 3 hours of endless spinning. They really need to stack usage guides on these machines in each room.
Items supplied differ by each room. I used two rooms and found out that if one room had something, the other did not. E.g. one room was missing dishwashing detergent and the other one did not. Had to bring some from the other room to use it in my room. It goes the same for cutleries, cutting boards etc. This really made me wonder how the maintenance people were checking on the items, and what they were going to do if they found out these “missing items”. Would they blame me for that? I...
Read moreToo expensive, too small but location is good, 10 min to Metro Station, and 2 min to bus stations by walking. But be aware to which room they chose for you. We stay on the upper floor, and the windows are placed on high level so you feel depressive since you can not see the outside well. Rooms are various so its important to tell them which room you wanna stay. Because they've booked us very different room from they show on website. We've told them but they did not anything about that. Other than that it was okay to...
Read moreTerrible experience. Rooms are nice looking but there are so many things wrong in this place. Elevator is super loud and can be heard in every room, in the rooms closest to it it caused me to wake up constantly. They do not care for your privacy, and eaven after they barged in my room unannounced and we decided they will inform me in andvance if there is need to get in, they came in unannounced again with little to none delay after knocking. Not nice having to fear of people coming in your room whenever...
