I have been staying long term at Noli. The standard studios are very small, and only the larger ones have any kind of windows that can open. If the temperature is not comfortable you mostly have to deal with it. The staff kindly provided a fan during summer. They are usually quite helpful and responsive.
The gym and sauna are convenient but usually very busy unless you go early/late in the day. The common spaces are clean. Access to laundry machines is by written rota only.
However the cleaning schedules are infuriating; it is on a four-week rotation, the date changes each month; the cleaning is not done if the apartment is not prepared for it, which is very easy to forget. It is unpleasant to have strangers accessing the room without notice when valuables might be left out. I was told there is no way to give a reminder that someone will be accessing the room, which is ridiculous and seems like a cynical way of squeezing additional cleaning fees out of residents. Expect to end up just doing it yourself anyway.
The fire alarm goes off frequently, as there is not much ventilation in the rooms.
The location is mostly convenient for the tram and the university, there is not much else there other than an expensive shop. It is also next to a dangerous junction and there are often traffic jams and car horns going.
Overall it is probably fine for a short stay but wouldn’t recommend for more than a month or so. It doesn’t feel like your private space is really private, it is more like a hotel without most of the...
Read moreI recently visited Noli Studios for a viewing and was quite disappointed by the experience. The studio itself has potential, but unfortunately the attitude and approach of the hostess, Sanna, made the visit feel rushed and unwelcoming. I had to repeatedly ask to see essential facilities like the sauna, gym, bike storage, and laundry area, which ideally should be part of any standard viewing. There was no explanation of communal services, parking options or fees, storage availability, or how the community aspects of the space work, despite these being key parts of the Noli concept.
I was hoping to ask a few important questions and take a few extra minutes to properly understand the space and its features, especially since this could be a potential home. However, I was met with dismissive comments, impatience, and an unwillingness to provide a calm or professional walkthrough, bordering with pure rudeness The experience felt more like being pushed out the door than being invited in.
I believe in giving people the benefit of the doubt, perhaps it was a stressful day like she said, but then again she behaved the same over the phone few days ago. As someone genuinely interested in the space, I left feeling unheard and overlooked. A warmer, more informative, and welcoming experience would make a big difference for future prospective residents.
I still believe in the concept behind Noli, but I hope management takes feedback like this seriously and ensures that viewings are done with more care and professionalism...
Read moreEnjoyed the stay at this Noli. The hotel is new and fresh. We were very lucky to have our room at the highest floor. From the large window in our room, we enjoyed expansive and picturesque views of the Laajalahti nature reserve and bird wetland. The relaxing views made up for the lack of a TV set in room.
The room, a studio with a kitchenette was spacious and had many cabinets. There was a dining table, a small low chair and a coffee table. The queen sized bed was comfortable and the sheets were crisp and clean. The duvet was too warm for Summer temperatures but otherwise we enjoyed the room and had a good night's sleep.
The bathroom is narrow but the shower area is adequate. The water pressure from the shower jet is strong and there also the option of using the rainbath overhead shower. It was easy to control the temperature of the water.
There are a number of other facilities within the hotel like a laundry, sauna, larger kitchen, pool table and tv room.
Parking costs 15 euros per day and reservations are recommended as lots are limited.
I like the location alot. Apart from being close to nature, there are also two supermarkets close by and a light rail as an alternative commute option. The area is...
