Original Sokos Hotel Vaakuna, Seinäjoki — Hotel in Seinäjoki sub-region

We stayed as a family of two adults and one child in the Junior Suite with a jacuzzi. The room was refurbished to be quite modern and stylish. The room had a separate bedroom and a living room so there is space for the whole family.||||The bathroom was spacious with a huge jacuzzi. Although the jacuzzi was big as it is designed for two, it wasn't very comfortable and relaxing in it was impossible. Our 5 year old loved to play in the jacuzzi but for adults it was not very practical or relaxing.||||There was a separate water closet which is great when traveling with friends or with a partner.||||The double bed was wide but extremely bouncy and thus not comfortable.||||Although the room was refurbished just a short while ago, there was extensive water/moisture damage in some of the structures of the bathroom. Surely it was known that the bathroom would be extremely humid when guests bathe in the jacuzzi so the renovation should have been done using materials that withstand humid conditions and don't break down after a couple of months of use. This was very disappointing and effected the overall appearance/feel of the room.||||There was a small sofa bed and a lounger for seating. The furniture in the room was sourced from local suppliers which is lovely. Although the room had a stylish design, it was very gloomy and dark even though we had all of the lights in the room on. There should be even more lights and light fixtures in the room so that even in the winter the room would be well lighted and thus more comfortable.||||The breakfast OK, nothing special to mention.||||Overall the renovated hotel seemed great but still lacked in some...

4 adults traveling with 2 toddlers and a baby stayed for two nights. We stayed in basic rooms with an extra bed. There was also adequate room for our travel cot. The location is in the very centre and suited us well. Parking was available without prebooking in a spacious parking hall at a reasonable extra price. Direct access to the reception. The rooms have recently been refurbished beautifully and they were clean. Daily cleaning is available at request. No complaints about the facilities. ||What motivated me to actually leave a review was the exceptional service we experienced during our stay. Not one or two staff members, but every single one we encountered met us with a genuine smile and will to make our stay as pleasant and easy as possible with two strong-minded toddlers and an infant. The hotel and accompanying restaurant are very child friendly in a discreet way that makes the parents feel at ease but doesn’t make other guests traveling without children feel uncomfortable. I've tried all the hotels in Seinäjoki and this one is my favourite.||The location is excellent, downtown, easy to find and with its own underground safe parking (8€ per 24 hrs). There are places to recharge electric cars.|There are small shopping malls, supermarkets, restaurants and bars around the hotels within walking distance.||The staff has all the time been very nice and helpful. I had a standard room this time and it was very quiet and clean.|Shower and toilet inside the bathroom and inside the room, an iron + ironing table, a safe box, a kettle with free tea and coffee facilities, a TV, a desk and a small sofa.|I regret they have removed the minibar, they could have left the fridge empty, it could have been practical to store fresh drinks in summer.||On the second floor, there is a free sauna and a small gym with enough equipment to train. ||The breakfast buffet was very good, there is everything you need to fill your stomach.||I really recommend this hotel, especially if you go by car and want a safe and warm place to...
