Ravintola Juurella — Restaurant in Seinäjoki sub-region

It is truly the best culinary experience in town, if you get the full menu with the wines. The menu is creative, and they change it regularly, and it is also very well presented and well combined with the wines too. The environment is nice and quiet. I have been here on business, and with my wife and the service is always great and in fluent English. A bit too expensive for what it is though. The menu and 4 wines for two was 228 €. Nevertheless, I have always enjoyed it. I give only 4 star because I feel like in a restaurant like this, the food experience kind, every course should either blow my mind, or mouth, or at least be a pleasant surprise, and this has been true for a couple of courses from the full course menus I have tried here, not every course. I feel the flavors are too local, which is not a bad thing, it is very a creative representation of finnish and nordic cuisine, but it makes it a touristic place in my opinion. A nice find in the middle of Seinäjoki. We took a 7 course menu and a wine menu with 3 wines. Food was lovely but not the highest level - but could easily reach another level with small adjustments. Yummy! We had a feeling that desserts weren’t unfortunately on the same level as other things on the menu. It was a quiet evening, I think the restaurant would be cozier if it was more full. Kävin hiljattain ravintolassa, ja kokemukseni oli todella negatiivinen. Heti alusta lähtien tarjoilijoiden epäammattimaisuus paistoi. Yksi heistä siivosi lattiaa kesken ruokailun, mikä vei fiilistä. Lisäksi käsihygieniaan tarjoilijat ei kiinnittänyt lainkaan huomiota.

Tilauksemme aikana jouduimme vastaamaan samoihin kysymyksiin kahdesti, mikä vaikutti tarjoilijoiden huolimattomalta ja osaamattomalta. Tätä toistui vielä monta kertaa ravintola kokemuksen aikana.

Ruoka taas ei todellakaan hinta-tasoa lähes kaikissa annoksissa oli sama tai lähes sama kastike, mikä alkoi lopulta tuntua todella epämiellyttävältä. Jokainen ruoka maistui käytännössä samalta, mikä oli suuri pettymys. Myös leivän resepti oli jotenkin muuttunut tai teko epäonnistunut.

Erityisesti jäi mieleen tartar-annos, jossa liha oli jätetty liian suuriksi paloiksi, minkä vuoksi se oli todella sitkeää. Kun huomautin asiasta tarjoilijalle, hän ei suostunut ottamaan palautetta vastaan vaan ryhtyi väittelemään kanssani.

Kaiken kaikkiaan kokemukseni tässä ravintolassa oli erittäin huono. Olen käynyt aiemmin ravintolassa reilu vuosi sitten montakin kertaa, ja silloin ravintola oli todella eri tasoa kun nykypäivänä. Ravintolan taso laskenut hurjasti.
