I recently stayed at the Radisson Blu Hotel for a 7-night trip and had an extremely disappointing experience. As someone who travels frequently for both professional and private purposes, staying in hotels ranging from 1-star to 5-star, I know what to expect in terms of value for money. Unfortunately, this hotel fell far short of expectations. Despite paying for a premium room with a sea view, what I received was more akin to a 2-star hotel in terms of food and service. This experience has seriously undermined my trust in the Radisson Blu chain, and I will be avoiding it in the future for both business and leisure trips. If you're looking to disconnect, relax, and be taken care of, avoid this place! Here are some facts to consider:
Poor Breakfast: Breakfast was served between 6:30 and 10:30, even on weekends. The buffet was incredibly limited, offering only three types of cheese, two kinds of ham, bread, scrambled eggs, bacon, a few nuts, and some low-quality cereals. There was no information available about allergens. The yogurt was cheap, and the fruit selection was limited to melon and watermelon. For the majority of my stay, there were no vegetables except for two occasions when cucumbers and tomatoes were available. You could ask for omelets and eggs, but even these were made with the cheapest mass-produced eggs (classified as 3). Gluten-free bread had to be specially requested, and after the fifth day, they ran out. If you came to eat after 9 am, you could expect food shortages and an even poorer selection. The coffee machine offered bean coffee and instant coffee, but if you weren't early, you missed out on the average-quality bean coffee. If you miss the 90s vibe from school trips, you might find this experience nostalgic.
Unresponsive Service: We arrived on Thursday and were given a room next to the entrance and stairs, which was very loud. We requested a room change and were told it would be done by Saturday, but no one followed up. When we inquired again, we were told the hotel was busy and nothing could be done. The mattress was extremely hard, causing back pain after the second night.
Overpriced Evening Buffet: The evening buffet, priced at 59 euros per person, was not worth even 30 euros. There were only four options for starters (including ham) and three main dishes: one fish, one meat, and one pasta. No gluten-free bread was served. The only decent item was the chocolate mousse.
Inconvenient Gym Hours and Rude Spa Staff: The gym had ridiculous opening hours: 8-1 and 3-7. Without any reason, they closed it in the middle of the day and asked you to leave, even if you were in the middle of your session. The spa staff was rude and unfriendly. When asked why the gym closed in the middle of the day, they simply said it was the rule. The reception tried to help by offering to open the gym, but the spa staff took the key and refused. It felt like a power struggle.
Beautiful View: The only positive aspect of this hotel is the amazing view of the sea and surrounding mountains from the room, pool, or balcony.
Overall, this hotel offers a terrible experience for the price you pay, and I cannot recommend it. Save your money and find a place that truly...
Read moreAs a former Radisson hotel GM I felt shocked to see the mismanagement of this beautiful property at an amazing picturesque location. This hotel could be one of the iconic ones on Corsica, at the moment it’s the opposite. You don’t feel that the hotel has a strong management team in charge of running it according to Radisson‘s standards and the owner’s‘ interests. Rusted tools everywhere, broken tiles, uncovered drain covers, days of neglected cleaning around the garden and pool may seem like a small thing, but it's a serious danger. A serious security issue is the many doors to the street, which are kept open and wide, and are supported by stones. So the whole neighbourhood came into the pool area happily and for free, occupying the seats of the paying guests. There are no services at the pool, although you can buy hot dogs, but we never saw the vendor. The opening hours of the pool are also controversial and loosely interpreted, i.e. it is not ready for guests at 8am, and in the evening they are spectacularly kicking out guests an hour before closing time. The maintenance of the rooms is not the best either, with faulty shower taps, faulty shower head fittings, locked cupboards, lack of a mini bar all pointing to weaknesses in housekeeping. The not-my-business attitude was clearly evident when the remains of the night's revelry around the pool were removed from the hallway at noon the next day, but also the dirty room service plates and glasses from the corridor hours later, but many and many times passed by before than.
The reception was not up to the mark either, instead of pre-authorisation they charged our credit card, the room cards were constantly not working. Long queues repeatedly, managers did not help their staff. There was no attempt by the reception to sell any additional services. The contact details of the services themselves are not properly published. This list is not exhaustive. This hotel could be great, special and full. But with a different management and lots...
Read moreMy partner and I recently chose your hotel for a romantic getaway, drawn by its breathtaking views. While the setting lived up to our expectations, several service and wayfinding issues spoiled our stay.||Impersonal Greetings|Upon arrival at both the restaurant and bar, we received only “hellos” with no warm welcome or guidance. A brief introduction to the menu and facilities would help guests feel valued from the start.||Poor Spa Signage|Although the spa elevator takes you to level –2, there are no directional signs once you step out||Disrespectful Sauna Behavior|We were dismayed to see guests entering the sauna with shoes and no towels to sit on, talking loudly inside, then leaving towels spread across benches for 5–10 minutes while stepping out to shower—effectively “reserving” spots and preventing others from sitting. To preserve the sauna’s tranquil atmosphere, please consider posting clear guidelines: leave shoes outside, always sit on your towel, keep voices low, and remove towels promptly when you leave the sauna.||Despite these issues, we’d like to highlight that the spa manager was absolutely delightful. She listened attentively to my concerns and, as a gesture of goodwill, offered us two complimentary hydromassage baths and provided a set of quality creams. Her professionalism and kindness went a long way toward restoring our confidence in your service.||Breakfast Check‑In Confusion|There is no clear point to register room numbers for breakfast.||We hope you will address these areas—staff training on guest welcomes, improved signage throughout the property, and clearer etiquette guidelines in the spa—so that future visitors can fully enjoy the Radisson Blu’s remarkable...
