We spent a week at the St Martin in late January/early February on a half board basis. ||The location is perfect, at the bottom of the lifts so you just ski back to the hotel. It is also a short walk down to the village with numerous restaurants and shops, and there is a bus/navette at the end of road which takes you to Les Menuires and Val Thorens.||||We stayed in a room "Charme" on the top floor with a balcony- spacious, with attractive alpine themed furniture, good linen, comfortable double bed, good size bathroom.||||Breakfast is good, with good quality produce. Food at dinner was excellent - I thought better than in previous years. They have a new chef who went out of his way to create some menus away from the typical half board menus. Absolutely loved the choices available for dinner and desserts were delightful. There is also a restaurant on the first floor which we tried over lunch a couple of times, again it was excellent (run by the same chef) and felt that it should be better advertised. ||The lounge is very cosy. They is also a small gym and sauna/steam room. ||||Staff are all very friendly, competent and helpful.||Very much looking forward to going...
Read moreThis hotel deserves its three star rating due to a generally good level of comfort of the rooms and a very good kitchen for dinner.||The staff is indeed friendly and so are the owners.||||However there are a number of issues, as reported by previous reviews which, quite interestingly, the management does not want to fix or cannot be fixed at all...||The wifi is definitely disfunctionnal and that cannot seem to bother the management. Breakfast is quite basic and the good stuff seems to be either rationed or slow to be refilled. Servcie is on average slow at the restaurant not to say very slow.||||The Spa is in a small underground space There is no real common and lively space as the bar and a few coaches are located adjacent to the reception area, hence not much life after dinner||||All in all, a rather expensive hotel for what it really...
Read moreA wonderful, friendly hotel in the Trois Vallees. Saint Martin is a great place to stay if you want to explore the Trois Vallees, it is a smaller village than its more famous neighbours, for us that was ideal. Hotel Saint Martin has comfortable, clean rooms, excellent friendly service, and dinner each night was delicious. The hotel is located close to the telecabin, and, even though we were there during half term, the longest we had to queue was 5 minutes. Saint Martin is in the same valley as Les Menuires and Val Thorens, so it was easy to ski the whole valley, and from the top of the Saint Martin lift it is an easy run down to Meribel and then across to Courchevel. I would highly recommend the hotel and village, and we look forward to...
