Le Clos Don Jean — Hotel in Annecy

Small, quiet, family friendly camping (but also great for a 30-ish couple). Great location with a nice view on the castle of Menton and only 15 minutes walking from the lake. Also a good location for trips around the area. Sanitary is clean and kept very clean, toilet paper provided at the entrance of the sanitary. Shower temperature can be regulated. The camping gets quiet at 22h, and really wakes up at 7. Might be a thing if you like sleeping in. Baker comes every day but Friday and has good bread and viennoiseries. Small playground for little cbildren. The owners are very kind and helpful and speak English. They could make a stiff impression, but they melt easily. PROS: Reasonable prices for Annecy. Nice and Clean Camping with all facilities (e.g playground for kids, baby-foot, baby bath tub, washroom for disable persons, Washing machine...). Nice view on the castle and mountains. Food trucks coming on scheduled days.

CONS: Booking from abroad has been a lengthy process, camping staff was not really responsive to our requests. Located uphill and a bit far from the lake (15min walk) and downtown (10min walk). A vehicle is highly recomended. The place/owners are definitely oriented toward elderly customers and you may be overwhelmed by all the instructions and sign boards (e.g. kids are not allowed in bathrooms between 10PM and 7AM, WiFi connection shut down every night at 11PM till 6AM, same for the...

Very well kept campsite with good clean facilities. The shower pressure/temperature was temperamental but this did not affect our stay. The site is in a great location for access to village, lake, bike path and local walks. The family were very friendly and helpful despite our lack of French they helped us in every way possible such as blowing our air bed up and had excellent communication.
