From the moment we arrived and until we left, the staff and customer service was so warm, friendly and helpful. The room had clearly been recently renovated -- everything felt so new, modern and clean and the temperature of the room could be fully controlled. The bedding and room decor gave you the feeling that you were staying at a 5 star hotel. This was further enhanced by the Nuxe bath products and the Palais de The teas offered in the room. We could open our double glazed, French windows for fresh air exactly the way a local actually living in Paris would be able to do, allowing our room to feel more open and spacious. The hotel made it hard to forget that you were in Paris, which is exactly how you want to feel when you are visiting Paris! Loved the artwork in the lobby and breakfast room that made us impatient to visit the Eiffel Tower! We were also impressed with breakfast -- it was much more of an elaborate spread than we expected for a hotel of this size and given health and safety protocols for Covid. The environment felt safe and we appreciated both the healthy choices that were offered (fresh fruit, yogurt, etc.) and the more indulgent French breakfast items (fresh croissants, pain au chocolat, bread, cheese, etc.), along with great coffee and tea selection. Overall, super impressed! Everything about our stay was excellent. Would...
Read moreHotel is pretty much at the end of number 3 metro line. It's a smart area that feels safe. 10 mins walk between the hotel and metro stations. Metro is well connected and makes it easy to get to most popular destinations. Gare St Lazare is on the line too which was the attraction for us. ||||Lots of really anonymous office and apartment blocks around it. Not the place for a Parisien atmosphere. Dead quiet at weekends with not many food shopping options or places to eat on its doorstep. You can find them though with a short walk. Comes alive on Monday morning. Go to In Casa for pasta and pizza. Great service. ||||Room was good, tall double windows for air and light, really comfortable bed, shower that worked. A good formula. Breakfast looked a bit uninspiring, there isn't much space to eat it so we ventured out. Staff were helpful with advice and recommendations on places to eat. ||||We would def put it on our list to...
Read moreLocated not to far from the end of line 3 is this rather basic hotel located. The outside door only opens after you have pressed a not very obviously placed bell. During the night I can imagine but a 4 pm checking in did not appear very welcoming. Taking a photocopy of my passport is also something I haven't seen in a very long time. The room itself was okay but there were obvious stains on the bed protector which was gross. Shower was great though ! A place to hang my wet coat would have been appriciated. Breakfast sort of strange because there was scrambled eggs one day and the second day there was only an empty pan and when I had finished somebody showed up and made some more on the spot. And please put a cover on the cheese in the fridge. Everything inside the fridge smelled...
