Very confused on what changed from the amazing reviews we read when we booked this hotel compared to what we received. Upon arrival we were not welcomed, front desk maybe said 2 words to us. We went up to our room and stripped the bed to check for bed bugs, luckily no bed bugs but a ton of hair. We went back downstairs and asked for the room to be recleaned, she then swapped us rooms and said it may not of been clean since we checked in too early…We tried to new room and it seemed cleaner, still hair in the bed but not nearly as much. we decided we would deal with it so went to explore the city. When we came back we tried to lay in the bed but both of us became very itchy and uncomfortable, we had to also leave the window open due to the smell, it smelt musty and like mildew in both rooms, which then made it very cold. We decided to pack up and leave to a different hotel. We requested a refund and said the room was dirty, we were told no and told to contact our travel agent but when we left the owner followed us out and made some rude comments. Then while waiting for our uber the owner came out again and yelled at us saying we slept in the bed (which we did not due to being so itchy in the bedding) and when we told him we didn’t sleep in the bed he started cursing at us. Very dissatisfied in this experience, a simply apology at any time would of been suffice but yelling at us is not professional in the least. I would give 0 stars if i could and I will be letting my agent know to take this off her...
Read moreI stayed in Hotel de la Jatte from May 28th to June 1st 2018 and I had the worst experience in a hotel that I've ever had in my life (and I travel a lot for work). Before I get into the issue that makes me say this I have to say that, regarding the property and general services the hotel is fine, however I will never come back to this place again and nor will recommend it to anybody.
On June 29th, after I came back for dinner I found my toothbrush to be full of hair and dirt (some sticky thing that I didn't want to touch was between the tufts) See image I uploaded (it's a nasty pic so I apologize in advance).
It looked like someone decided to clean the bathroom with my brush and left it there to be used. I always keep a plastic cap on my toothbrush so, whoever did this had to take the cap off deliberately , rub it against the dirtiest place in the room, put the cap on and place it gracefully next to the sink. Good thing I spotted all the dirt before I used it.
The Hotel manager was speechless when I showed her the brush the next morning. The only thing she could do was apologize and tell me she was going to find out what happened. Of course, no one from the hotel has contacted me afterwards.
Needless to say I'm never getting back to this hotel and I will never recommend it to anybody. If you read this and still decide to stay here, make sure to lock all your personal hygiene stuff before you...
Read moreNothing particularly wrong with the area (near Neuilly) and the room was spotless. This was sold to us as a 'Superior' room but was incredibly small. There is no air conditioning, only heating which we had to turn off but could not open the window at night because of the constant roar of traffic. The hotel faces the Seine and close to a bridge. There is no tea/coffee making facility in the room well, there wasn't enough space for that! Both of these items should be in a room termed 'Superior'. The bathroom was clean although there was evidence of mould on the grouting which didn't look good at all. Sizewise, it was a cupboard! Don't be mislead by the photos of the breakfast room, it's tiny. Only a cold buffett, although boiled eggs were on offer. We stayed on one of the busiest weekends and on Sunday morning most of the food had been eaten well before the 10.30 am cut off not acceptable. The hotel knew how many guests they had and should have ordered more than enough to accommodate ~ very poor. They have a bar which is a cupboard housing drinks and another cupboard holding glasses! There is a nice supermarket just around the corner. Across the road is a pizzeria, and also a wine bar...
