We were really surprised by the hotel. Directly at the train station, but still very quiet thanks to good windows. The breakfast was good, only some granola/seeds missing, and the scrambled eggs were no good.
The room was very small, and for two persons only one bag of instant coffee and one portion of milk was a bit limited. But what really bothered us was the light in the bathroom and the loose curtain. After the first night, we said at the reception that the lightbulbs in the bathroom don't work well, one didn't work at all, another one turned itself off and on every few minutes. We were told that it will be taken care of the same day, but then we were called and said that they will fix it the next day. But neither the lights were fixed, nor the curtain was hanging straight again. So it was not possible to darken the room at night. And in the bathroom it was not possible to shave or use makeup because it was too dark.
And after the second night, there wasn't even an additional toilet paper...
So in total, it could have been way better for a hotel of that category, but it wasn't totally...
Read moreWe really enjoyed our experience at Best Western Belfort. The staff were extremely friendly. The room was comfortable, and had all the typical hotel comforts. The bathrooms were clean, modern and well maintained.
We wish the breakfast was included in the price. It's already a very convenient location, and a slightly higher cost----inclusive of breakfast ----would feel appropriate.
Coffee in the lobby is free (Nespresso).
Belfort doesn't feel like a very safe place to be at night. (We observed some drug users in town on the way to dinner, one of which was passed out) This hotel is right next to the train station and the road connecting...
Read moreThe hotel is centrally located near the railway station. The reception area is small with an adjoining breakfast area. Staff is pleasant and efficient. Although the hotel is in an old building, the room was very nice, and the bed was very good. Choice of restaurants in the area is limited on a Sunday evening which gave rise to a nice walkabout. Hotel parking is free, but not a lot of spaces. Car park entrance is to the left just before the hotel in the one-way street. If you stop in front of the hotel entrance, then you need to circle a couple of blocks...
