BHOMA Bourges — Hotel in Bourges

It has probably been the wordt ever experience in an Hotel. The structure has about 40 rooms in the periphery of Bourges. Already opon arrival the appearence is onf an old and badly mainteined hotel. This is confoirmed byolr tapestries and furnitures, a small and slow elevator. The decor is aligned. Our room was actually relatively large, but with dirty and badly maintained furnitures. Only the shower was modern. But behind the first impression:|- The air conditioning system did not work|- The antiquate fridge did not refrigerate at all|- The wifi connection did not work|- We had towels only for one person and one of the was already dirty.|We referred to the clerk at the reception who told us that a technician would have helped us. In fact, this person id not show up. We asked to move to another room, but the clerk told us that the hotel was fully booked.|After an horrible night, the morning after I was received at the reception by a member of the Hotel management. I reported again all the issues and expected to receive excuses and maybe a refund. What I gort was a "Je men fue" and a threten to have his hands arounf my throat. He also blocked the way to the stairs and repeated again his menaces. At the end, another guest arrived and I could leave....

The only good thing about this hotel is the free parking. The hotel is a 10 minute stroll into the centre of Bourges. I arrived at 11.00 only to be told that check in was at 17.00. I left my luggage with reception and came back later once in my room I saw that check in was at 14.00. I found the reception I received not very friendly at all. The decoration inside is very tired and needs updating. Bathroom was nice but the actual room with brown chipped walls definitely needs an update. The headboard is much bigger than the bed and the carpet has lots of stains. Reception closes at 21.00 and after that you can not use the communal areas or the lift. The instructions for the wifi are not the same as the actual wifi and you are lucky if you can get it to work. There is an ok steak...

Absolutely dreadful! Initially allocated a room that was used as storage for excess beds. Shocked by the state and hygiene of the carpet leading to the rooms! Highly stained and dirty. Given a second room, upon entering a huge, damp, brown stain greeted us. Above it was old, leaking air conditioning unit. Furniture was dated and once again a filthy carpet! We had taken our dog a small Border Terrier and I was afraid for her to lie on the carpet. We immediately went and checked in at the local Ibis. I tried to request £27 euro refund that i paid upfront and was refused by the receptionist. Avoid this hotel at all times. A very stressful and...
