Résidence Dary — Hotel in Calvi

We do not usually select self catering accommodation, but wanted more space than the hotels in the area offered and liked the idea that the property was fully serviced every day. We were extremely pleased with our decision. Our apartment, no 6, had a well-equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar. Seating every where in the apartment, and on the large balcony, is provided for four people. Everything is very modern. The lounge area had two settees and a very wide screen television. The main bedroom had a double bed and the larger of the two bathrooms. The second bedroom was fitted with twin beds. Both rooms had ample storage; there is a safe in the double bedded room and each bedroom has a television.||There is a well-maintained pool area with ample sunbeds. Security is impressive and there is a parking space for every apartment. Natalie, who welcomed us on arrival, was very helpful, as were all the staff who worked in the office/ reception. Most of the staff we met did speak English. Taking the promenade, it took us ten minutes to walk to the centre of town. It took about 15 minutes to drive to the large out of town supermarket, which was extremely well-stocked. There is also a smaller supermarket in the town. We took advantage of the Dary's bread delivery service. Our order was placed on the door hook every morning about 8am and was a very useful service.||We have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation. We have just returned from staying at Residence Dary for seven days and were delighted with our accommodation. Situated by the beach and only a leisurely ten minute stroll from the centre of I'lle Rousse, this modern development of six apartments is truly five star. No expense has been spared in furnishing the apartment in a contemporary style with all the creature comforts you could wish for. The apartment is kept spotlessly clean by the daily visit of a cleaner and the towels and bed linen are of a good standard. The kitchen area is well equipped and every utensil you could think of will be found in the drawers and cupboards. Sitting on the large balcony having breakfast with the blue sea as a backdrop was especially memorable. There is also a decent sized swimming pool for the private use of the guests of Residence Dary and plenty of sunbeds (no need for early morning towel draping to reserve a sun bed here!) and umbrellas. The water temperature in the pool was perfect and this made the daily dip that bit more enjoyable. The onsite staff were most helpful and seem to carry out their duties with a quiet efficiency. This is a fantastic spot in Ille Rousse. Perfectly located right on the beach with amazing sea views. The pool is also great (which our girls loved!) which gives you a simple choice of salty beach or pool lounging. |It’s a very pleasant walk into town along the popular promenade that only takes about 10mins. |The atmosphere is perfect with a mix of quietness but the gentle sound of people enjoying themselves nearby at night. |The equipment in the apartment is all very modern with everything you need to cook for yourselves if desired.
