Val d'Allos — Hotel in Castellane

It's my second time here. The slopes are in terrible condition and even the snow canons are off. There's only a couple of kms open (2 slopes), which are obviously pretty crowded now. It's full ice with palm size rocks and boughs on it. My skis are severely damaged. The chairlifts are mostly old and dangerous to use. I get it that the weather was hard on them this year, but still, I can't see them trying to make it anything better.

Update: one day later

There's grass, huge rocks and dirt all over the slopes. They're getting life threatening and they're still open. Incredible! I asked my money back (or at least some allowance) for the ski pass, that I can't simply use, but they're saying that they're open, so I can use it. Rather don't come...

I've been coming here every year since 2018, in the winter and summer, and it keeps getting better and better. Located only 2h30 minutes from Nice, Val d'Allos has a lot to offer all year round. Skiing there is great with a very vast domain connecting 3 resorts (Le Seignus ,La Foux d'Allos and Pra Loup). Ski aside, the sights are great. Allos is a well preserved and beautiful village that is worth visiting. It's a great place for hiking too, I recommend the path leading up to the magnificent and natural...

Domaine skiable au top!!! Cette année relativement réduit à cause du faible enneigement. Equipements à l'ancienne TS et surtout manque de télésièges débrayables. La station en elle-même (village) est mignon, le front de neige galère d'accès, petit. Aux heures de pointes c'est la cohue. Ce sens unique et le manque de stationnement rend la vie compliquée. Les navettes sont là vous me direz ... On les a utilisées mais pas facile quand même. Les PV volent à tout va parfois à des endroits non gênants et mal indiqués. Pour aller chercher ses enfants à l'ESF c'est la croix et la bannière pas de stationnement prévu ... Port des skis, chaussures et tout le reste- avec 1 enfant ça passe mais pas avec plus- non vraiment pas pratique. Le système de forfait est abusé ainsi que les prix, on n'est pas à Val Thorens ni à Méribel. Enfin les prix des restaurants sont abusés. Aujourd'hui gaufre 6€50 et ce sans chantilly, le supplément 2€.... Je veux bien qu'on soit en station mais on n'est pas des vaches à lait. Abusé.
