Château de Corcelle — Hotel in Chalon-sur-Saône

Wonderful stay last week, for two nights. The place is charming, old style French 19th century with wonderfully spacious rooms, well decorated, full comfort, excellent beds.||The hosts are wonderful, very hospitable, highly interesting and engaging with their guest. Breakfast and dinner are served in a very nice setting, and the food is delicious. The location is perfect, with most of the places of interest in Burgundy within a radius of 90 mins driving: Romanesque Burgundy, the wine routes, Dijon and Beaune...Very easy access from the main A6 highway. When arriving, you might get surprised as the chateau is literally next to the highway, but the chateau has amazing isolation, not a sound could be heard from the outside.||This is superb and excellent...

The perfect place to hold on to that holiday feeling on the way back to the Netherlands. It is situated next to the motorway, which is a big advantage, and thanks to the good sound insulation you won't hear a thing in your bedroom. And that bedroom with the name Félix Gaudin: fantastic! Extremely spacious, even the bathroom is a ballroom, a lovely sitting area with TV on which we watched an episode of our favourite Netflix series, an excellent bed and a marvelous look & feel! Also comfortable: after a long day of driving, we did not have to look for a restaurant, but the whole family prepared a good meal for us. Wow, a wonderful French Chateau which has been lovingly restored by Adelaide and Julien. We stayed for one night in November so missed the lovely garden and pool. Adelaide and Julien and her lovely family made up for this making us feel most welcome and we felt like one of the family, we had a superb evening meal and breakfast was delightful with Adelaide sharing stories about the renovations. Our room was spacious and charming and our bed was amazing, we asked Adelaide where the bed was from and we have since bought the same bed for our home.
