One of the best overall sites we have ever visited! We've been to many in the UK and throughout Europe and this site was fabulous 👌 Seemed to have everything in just the right quantities, nothing brash and in your face. Ignore some of the bad reviews about animation, wifi or bad customer service, absolutely have no real world relevance in our eyes. From the second we got there we were welcomed an extremely helpful and friendly person in reception, we were personally taken to our pitch (which was massive) most are huge. We were in a motorhome. Yes there are lots of guests there but they have designed the space and pitch dimensions well. The swimming pool(s) are beautiful and clean, the entire site is clean and friendly.

The kids animation activities are far away from most pitches and you are virtually never aware of anything happening, we had no kids this year and found that a huge plus.

As for WiFi, it's there at a cost if you need it and probably not the best but you are in the middle of nowhere and if you're that bothered about wifi on a camping holiday in a beautiful part of the country you are clearly have the wrong pastime.

The river and surrounding area is beautiful with good enough access for swimming. There is always a heavy and constant flow of kayaks from the many companies upstream but there are never that intrusive. We spend many an hour floating in the river relaxing 😎 Facilities are top notch, all WC and showers are very clean and modern.

The bar area is good and the only thing I would personally say is that it isn't fully open enough throughout the day and would do a roaring trade if it was and had a light menu to choose from. That said in the evening it is a lovely place to sit and relax. Some nights there is entertainment directly opposite ranging from bands to singers to the staff putting on shows. A very pleasant place to sit and relax and watch something.

I can't rate this place highly enough and we are just disappointed we didn't discover it years ago.

Would recommend to anyone in any situation to visit whether in a motorhome, caravan or...

A perfect stay, but a restaurant with room for improvement We absolutely loved the place and enjoyed our two weeks of holiday at Camoing Nature Parc l'Ardechois. However, our children (aged 5-8) struggled a bit with the animation team since there were no native Nordic language speakers (which of course was not mandatory). They wanted to participate, but was shy due to the language barrier. But the animation team did a great job :)

The restaurant, however, was not at all as expected. The waiters were slow and not too service-minded (two of them were, but the rest not), the food was uninspiring and not at all on level with the rest of the camp site! We expected more, better food, freshly made food of good quality and a bit more authentic french cuisine. An example was ordering the ceasar salad three times and getting three different versions(!) and it was the same experience with one of the pizzas. We ordered the same pizza, but got three different versions of it. And we saw loooong waiting lines on take away food!

We would love to come back again to the beautiful camp site, and would highly recommend it to friends and family, but we hope that the restaurant will...

We happened to come across this site by accident as we had serious car problems and had to stop quickly somewhere. We were greeted by a really lovely helpful young English man on Reception called Jude. He found us a fabulous pitch and was so helpful in finding us a local garage. I can’t praise him enough. Another Dutch lady was fantastic at helping us translate and communicate with the garage. Our 3 day planned stay to get the car fixed turned into a 15 day stay only because it was such a fantastic site - probably the best we’ve ever stayed at. The whole place is so well managed, very clean and a beautiful location on the river. Canoing was amazing - we did it 3 times and recommend you do the longest one going through the canyons and National Park. Thomas who managed the canoes is also an amazing member of staff - very polite informative and professional and as our pitch was opposite his booking office we enjoyed getting to know him and enjoying a few beers with him after he finished work. All the staff at this campsite obviously love their jobs as they are so helpful and lovely. 100% recommend and will definitely go again. It deserves its 5 stars -...

A stunning place and so much to do in the area, medieval castle, gorge (which is stunning), canoeing, off road buggies (can book in town), karting, crazy golf, patong, market in town every Thursday (it's huge), the pool etc the list goes on. Campsite is friendly, incredibly clean, peaceful but can get noisy in high season with children and entertainment but a nice noise of happiness and laughter. Lovely, well stocked shop on sight and a food/petrol store close by in town. Campsite right on the river and canoeing from campsite. Canoeing is one way but a bus brings you back to campsite. Gets very busy at Pont D'Arc but the sound of laughter and people having fun is great. You can book the day before and leave early for a more tranquil ride. We did both and both equally fun. Loved it! When it rains, it rains and few people flooded in tents so good to be aware of that but only 2 wet day in two weeks Great friendly staff, we had a great time!
