Update: We went back a year after our initial visit and it was even better than we remembered. The addition of the hot tub was a stroke of genius - perfect for a cold winter's night after a day of sightseeing. Marie-Lys and Paul-Emmanuel also added a plunge pool, which we'll have to come back to try in warm weather. The fireplace is still wonderful.

One of the best gîtes I have ever stayed at. A beautiful renovation of an old townhouse - warm, comfortable, quiet, and equipped with everything you could possibly require for a stay of any length. Marie-Lys and Paul-Emmanuel are charming and attentive hosts who clearly have invested time and love in the place and are available for any questions or needs (though you won't have any - they have thought of everything!). Highlights for us were the working fireplace (wood provided) and the huge, light-filled, eat-in kitchen. What a delight to finally come and spend a week at this charming gîte in Loches! The hosts could not be more welcoming or hospitable, making sure every need was met, The rooms are beautiful, spacious and elegant. The gardens are lovely. The location was perfect - easy to find, easy to park and an easy walk to the historic centre, fabulous restaurants and weekly markets.
