In September 2022 I have stayed at this hotel and have mixed feelings about it. The room was clean and nicely decorated, but the restaurant had fine food, but nothing too special. The spa and pool access was confusing - we thought it was included within our stay option, but to our surprise it was not. The general set up on the accessing SPA area was rather confusing, so in total we decided to skip it in general, additionally it felt overprized. The main disappointment that we have experienced during out stay was the fact that the cleaning lady took away our private champagne glasses (we have no doubt that it was an accident). We have reported the incident at the reception. They took overlength procedure to collect our addresses and explanation of the incident and they promised to get back to us and send the missing glasses. However, they never did. What is more the whole session left us with a feeling that they were silently accusing us of trying to steal their glasses which was incredibly disheartening. We even left the original box in which our glasses were bought so that they could send them back to us. Some time later I have even sent an reminder email about it, but they never replied. All in all, this was a...
Read moreThe hotel is wonderful. We booked the suite with terrace, absolutely perfect. Very elegant French, Burgundy old Bourgeoisie style decor with all the modern amenities. Most of the employees speak English and a few multiple foreign languages. The “regular” rooms are as elegant and comfortable. The staff is very classy yet very friendly, they will do their best to accommodate you. We asked if we could have a sun umbrella for our terrace, they had it all set up in no time and with a smile. The hotel restaurant, “Le Cloître “ is fabulous, gourmet, a must! The spa is one of the prettiest and most enjoyable ones we have encountered. The pool is a bliss, surrounded by large bay windows, the sensory shower delightful. The spa services are excellent also. To thoroughly enjoy your experience at “Les Sept Fontaines” you must do the wine tasting, this is the best place to discover amazing Burgundy wines. We travel a lot, the “Sept Fontaines” is on top of our list. I am French, we regularly stay at lovely hotels when we visit family and friends in France, this is the best quality hotel, through...
Read moreBad by all means except the night sleep quality. Breakfast is mediocre, with old capsule coffee machine which produces low quality coffee. Food choice is poor: just omelette and fried bacon with a couple of doughnuts, very poor smoked salmon cuts.||The staff in the reception is rude and perfectly represents the image of France well depicted in the book "One year in the Merde". ||The staff manager Leyla can stand in front of you and argue with a serious expression in her face that there's a normal thing to have a large family-size table vacated during breakfast because it's prepared for the afternoon meeting with wine. In any hotel in the normal world, it would certainly be her last day as a manager.||The hotel is always half empty during the low season, with ready rooms. However, you could be asked to wait a couple of hours just because you came earlier than they anticipated you would. Hotel staff anticipation of how the things should be run is the measure here. Avoid at all costs unless you are not going to have breakfast, use any service by the hotel and will...
