wea rrived in this very small city by chance... as usual. the room was fine, although minimal and with a very not elegant mix between wood and wall furniture. anyway the breakfast was also fine... however, provided the service received, the thing that did not fit was the price... too much. i understrand that we were in the first half of august... but still... at a lower price i spent a night in a 4** hotel in zaragoza... just to make a comparison. last but not least, also here... as often occured to me in france, french people understand english but respond in francais... that's not a problem since it is close to italian so i can guess the sense... but still... it does not appear professional and has...

5 of us were walking on GR10 and Gourette was a suitable place to spend the night as it's only a few steps off the route. We received a good welcome and the host seemed more than will to take our boots and poles and store them. ||The hotel does not do dinner but our the group felt that the breakfast was the best of our trip in terms of quality, variety and quantity. Just perfect for a two day ski trip to the wonderful resort of La Gourette. A small hotel in a pretty old house in the centre of town. 2 minutes walk to the place where you buy your ski pass and hire your skis and 3 minutes to the ski lift. Good breakfast too....
