Read moreWe stayed here for a couple of nights in February 2019 as heavy snow had made driving up to the resort challenging. What we like about Les Angles and in particular the Hotel Yaka are shown below. |||| Les Angles is a well maintained, modern, family ski resort. || The Hotel Yaka is easy to find and is situated on the main road that runs through the resort.|| There is plenty of free off road parking in front of the hotel. || We booked directly with the hotel, by phone and got a deal that beat any of the hotel internet sites. || This is a friendly well run hotel and we received a warm welcome from Elsa and Gasoil. || The hotel is no more than 100 meters from the Baliu Chair Lift that quickly links into the main network of lifts. || The Boot Room is easily accessible and felt secure. || Between the hotel and Chair Lift is an Intersport Hire Shop if needed. || Whilst this is a 2 star hotel it is very comfortable for a short stay. || The hotel has a small bar where you can enjoy a well deserved post skiing beer. It closed at 8.00 pm when we stayed there. || The Breakfasts we had were good. ||||Negatives: ||Very few.|||| Wifi was a little weak. || If you have phones, i-pads, cameras etc to charge overnight you may be best bringing an extension lead with you. || The hotel does not have a lift. || Restaurants. They do not serve Dinner and consequently you have a 10 / 15 minute walk to the nearest restaurants. There are a number offering a wide choice. ||||If you are planning a week long stay in Les Angles you could combine a few days skiing here with a few days in close by Font Romeu (Different Lift Pass). Pyrenees 2000 is our favoured access point to the Font Romeu area. ||||Finally I must mention that for the brave the Summer downhill mountain biking in Les...
Been visiting Les Angles for 16 years. Stayed at YAKA several times in the past but have not been back last 3 seasons.||||Stayed here Saturday Night. We booked by telephone and turned up a bit early to check in, we requested early check in after our long drive; this was not permitted so we waited outside in our car. A short time later a French family turned up at reception and we're quickly given a room !||||In the past always found the place warm and friendly and although some aspect were a bit rouigh and ready the welcome was always genuine and the prices very reasonable.||||This time however we were disappointed that things had changed. Nothing has been done to improve the decor or comfort yet prices have jumped up. We were charged 105 euros for a double room and breakfast . The room was clean and warm but the hot water was inadequate and the breakfast a great disappointment . The info available also promises a roaring log fire, this was not the case on Saturday night. free WiFi was non-existent ||||A few bits of fine tuning on the hospitality front would not go amiss.||||In the past we always rated Yaka 10 out of 10. These days we give it...
Read moreAs a family of five, we had a very enjoyable stay in Hotel Yaka. We had adjoining rooms with a balcony, and the view is fantastic. The rooms were perfect for our needs, and plenty of hot water which is essential for skiing holidays.||We were able to ski down to within 50m of the hotel entrance, with a chairlift at the foot of the slope.||Breakfast is a real treat, with an abundance of fresh croissants, pain-chocolat and patisseries.||Elsa, and Gasoil, are the perfect hosts, and we are already looking forward to coming back next...
