Stopping off on our return trip in France towards Roscoff, we required a room for one night and found this delightful beach front hotel. We did not book in advance but were easily accommodated. There was no specific parking but spaces were available on the small back road, away from the main streets.||||With my limited and rusty French, the initial house staff only knew a little English but we were made to feel very welcome and we both fumbled our way through booking a room and were given a sea view room, booked in for an evening meal and breakfast. The room was very clean with an amazing view straight onto the beach and sea.....I mean straight onto the sea! The window was a large double opening window that let you experience the sound and smells of the sea from metres away!||||Evening meal was a choice from two starters, two main course and two deserts along with the entertainment of a singer! Eating/sitting at the front of the hotel, right on the sea front, he was amazing and I have never seen this sort of entertainment before, he pushed around a trolley with a speaker, keyboard, microphone and sang some traditional songs, some english and really whipped up the people to sing! The food was very nice and didn't cost the earth either.||||Breakfast was held in the same location and was a traditional continental breakfast with self service and as much as you wished, again, not costing the earth for a good hearty breakfast.||||Overall, the hotel was a lovely little hotel, clean, tidy and very good value for money. The English speaking waiter came into work that evening and told us they don't get a lot of English staying there but for a one night stop over, I would recommend it! If your thinking of a one night stop over the summer period though, I would book well in advance as they...
Read moreA number of years ago my husband and I drove through Binic and stopped for lunch. We saw this hotel from the beach and thought we would like to stay here some day. Coming from New Zealand we doubted that, but however 8 years on, we did and it was great. Binic is an excellent base to stay in with lots to visit in the surrounding areas.||||At the hotel the staff were so helpful and friendly, especially when I dropped the hotel key down a drain beside our car! They couldn't have been nicer, sending out one of the staff who fished it out for us!||||The room we were given had a side view of the sea. I did find the bed a bit hard but that is just my taste. The bathroom was spacious, the shower was good and everything was very clean. There is no private car parking but that is not a problem, we just parked on the sea front a very short distance from the hotel.||||The hotel has a beautiful view of the sea and you just walk out the front door down to the sand. I'm sure in the summer season it is packed with guests but it seems quiet at the moment (October) which is a pity because it is a great find. ||||Many thanks to Robin and Christoph for making our stay so pleasant. I can highly recommend this if you want a good value for money hotel with...
Read moreThis hotel is right on the sea front at one end of the bay in Binic , it is an old Victorian building with a not very attractive add on - however having said that ,the dining room and lounge area have beautiful big windows overlooking the sea. There is a small terrace area.||The bedroom we had (111 ) on the first floor was smallish but quite satisfactory with an uninteresting view. The bathroom was a good size with an efficient shower||We were staying there as part of a walking group but I noticed that at this time of the year anyway most of the clientele were elderly . There is some fairly naff entertainment provided on some evenings and a long welcome speech given by the manager ( boring)||The food is variable , breakfast was fine but the dinner was sometimes not so good . There are a couple of choices for each of three courses and there is an optional cheese course too||Some of the main courses were overcooked and dry , some of the vegetables were frozen and the puddings were definitely not home made but the half board rate was very reasonable so I suppose you get what you pay for generally. ||Staff were not always particularly friendly although they seemed to do their jobs...
