Great location adjacent to the world war 2 fort and monument, with an incredible view across the bay to the walled city, which can be reached by foot in about 30 minutes. As for the site, it’s quite large, with two hundred or more marked spaces and when we were here in late June it was quite busy, with maybe 80 or 90 percent of the sites occupied. That said, even pretty full it did not feel overly crowded. The shower/restroom facilities are older but well maintained. The pitch sites themselves are a little packed in compared to other more rural campgrounds we have visited in Brittany, but given the location just outside st malo it is to be expected Ample electric hookups on site. There also is an overflow area dedicated to hikers and cyclists. Some of those spots are on a slope, but most are shaded which maybe makes up for the incline. Those sites do not all have access to ehu’s, but there are a couple in the bike camper area to share A bit pricey compared to other municipal campgrounds we have stayed at. (We paid 25 euro including the ehu) But again, given the location it is probably justifiable. Finally, they have a small camp store which had artisanal ciders in stock so big plus for that. Overall, I’d definitely stay here again when visiting at malo

The position and size of this site is genuinely awesome. Just the incredible history snd/or views on and all the way around the site is incredible. From WW2 fort and steel gunnery 'mushrooms' to the old roman fort on the site. A very pleasant 45min walk around the harbour to the awesome walled old town. This is the only camping site in the lovely St Malo. However, the run down and dirty shower blocks, just one fresh water tap over the sink that people wash their clothes in and especially the single toilet cassette dump right in the middle of the pavement next to the visiting food van should really be sorted!!

Unbeatable location within walking distance to St Malo and the ferries. Situated on a peninsula next to fortress ruins. Very old school vibe camping, more about location than attractions. The tent camping area has plenty of trees and feels quite natural. Unfortunately bar was closed during our stay in late September but everything else open, with nightly food trucks. Some basic cooking facilities for tent campers. Also some good bars and restaurants a short walk away, especially la cancalais near the Soledor tower. Relaxed and quiet place with lots of diversions on your doorstep.

Update 22/05/22.

I'm staying here again, as I had a great experience last year. Sadly, there is now what appears to be a group of "travellers" in permanent residence. Horrible noise with loud music and drunken shouting until 2:30am last night. A group of girl guides are camping nearby. Great experience for them.

Staff MUST be aware of their presence (there is van with a tyre that has obviously been flat for weeks) but clearly have done nothing. I have paid €120 to camp here for a week and I don't mind betting that these pikeys have paid absolutely nothing. Simply not acceptable.

Last year, there was a shelter to the left of reception, where you could charge devices. That has now gone and the only place where you can now charge devices is in the bloc sanitaire. Keep an eye on your stuff. I've had a portable charger plus cable and plug stolen after leaving them unattended for less than 30 minutes.

Really nice campsite. Friendly reception and workers. Pitches well-drained and plenty of shelter from trees and hedges. Dedicated cycle touring / backpacker area. Clean, comprehensive facilities, with separate sinks for laundry and dishwashing. Also a washer and dryer. No loo paper, so bring your own. Loads of places to see, eat and drink within a...

Yes I gave 5 stars to a 2 star camping because it is worth it. It‘s a camping that is alive, relax, has a friendly staff and has that has a fantastic location with nice views and it is ideal to explore St Malo and its wonderful beaches. You might have read the reviews, that tell that the sanitaries are not clean and I can say: yes it happened that a unrespectful camper came just before me. It‘s a shame that such people make bad publicity for campings that are so nice. The sanitaries are cleaned regulary and the sanitary covid rules are respected. This summer (2020) they had a fantastic bar that was on top of the camping with changing foodtrucks every night and they had a nice concert on saturday evening. The bar makes the camping a bit more noisy but is unbeatable in its relax and cosy atmosphere. There is no supermarket on the camping but there are plenty of good bistros and restaurants nearby. You can explore the surrounding easily by foot or bike. We had a fantastic time with your kids (7 and 9) The camping is green but also quite hilly so depending on where you sleep it is not always flat. All in all its a...
