Blue Sail Hotel Anse Marcel — Hotel in Saint Martin (France)

We had issues with noise from the adjoining kitchen, in our guest room. There was loud banging and slamming late in the evening and early in the morning. We asked to change rooms after the first night and were told nothing was available. Later that day we saw a new check-in, so they could have moved us. Rooms 5 and 6 adjoin the kitchen and should be avoided! The best location are rooms 1-4. The other rooms 5-8, also adjoin a gravel road, so minor vehicle noise. The rooms are spotlessly clean and attractive, but on the small side. Oddly, there are no towel racks to hang wet towels, bathing suits, etc. Due to the layout with a small patio area outside each guest room, the interiors are very dark. Food at their restaurant was very good. However the evening service was somewhat disorganized. We waited 20 minutes to be served our drinks. Breakfast service was much more quick and attentive. We stayed here after arriving a day early for a sailing trip with Dreamy Yacht Charter. Totally new hotel and cafe (I believe they opened in December, 2021).

Restaurant: They offer breakfast, lunch, and a bar. We tried all three, I was most impressed with lunch and cocktails. Their chicken Caesar salad was delicious!

Hotel: Each room has private entry, I believe there are under 10 rooms? Modern finishes. Our room had AC, TV, ironing board, safe, shower, and blow dryer.

Overall: enjoyed our stay, this is the best option for sailing trips out of Anse Marcel. There are two resorts next to this, but they’re much pricier (and one is all inclusive). The complex has a small grocery store, a smoke shop, and a new Italian restaurant (that we didn’t try, but heard good...

Our staying at Sonesta was really great |first the location is amazing and maho beach was just down the side of the hotel it’s unbelievable |The hotel always clean inside and outside same with the bathrooms||workers are amazing with smiling on their faces all the time specially Nora and Beatrix from the front desk||I would love to mention that the minute Nora new it was our our 25th anniversary she make sure to upgrade the room for us and it was fabulous we did not expect that also the coffee shop was open most morning with nice smiles ||I NEED to thank Kevon and Carmelita from la Fontana and also Johan from lava rock and the bartender Edy they just made our staying extra special|||For sure we will...
