We had a very nice meal there last week. Covered outside restaurant. We were given an awkward table as we did not have a reservation. (although the reserved tables sat empty the whole time we were there) Our server was very nice. We had a nice bottle of wine at a reasonable price. We started with a bruschetta which was excellent! We then ordered two small side Cesar salads. Evidently, this is not their norm. Then menu had entrée size for $17usd each. I asked if we could have small side salads, not the entrée size with chicken. Yes, of course they responded! However when the bill came we were billed $17 each for a total of $34 for two side salads. I argued and they took $4 off. Disappointing. Are side salads not a thing in French areas? Beware of the cost. Our entree was a squid ink pasta with a spicy seafood sauce. The seafood and sauce flavor were very nice. The pasta was undercooked and took away from the enjoyment. Overall, I would go back there again. We saw the pizza at the adjacent table and it looked great! This is also one of the very few restaurants to eat at in Anse Marcel that is...
Read moreRelaxing atmosphere - artisanal pizza. We are here in the off-season so there was no waiting or real need for reservation. We did call in at 5 PM on a Monday and made a reservation for six people at 6 PM. We were the only people in the restaurant at that time. The staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke good English. They were very helpful and made good suggestions. Also worth noting that there are days of the week where they do not have their pasta dishes and only serve pizza with appetizers and dessert because it’s the slow season we believe. I had the picante pizza and it was slightly spicy and unexpected with almonds on it – super delicious. We did start with the tuna crudity - kind of like then slices of tuna with light herbs, and onions on it. We found this dish, amazingly delicious and would stop by just to eat it again. They serve wine by the glass and of course by the bottle. Consensus is that the wine was good for table wine. All pizzas were very rich and most adults could probably share one pizza if you also ordered an appetizer. We would definitely...
Read moreWe had two meals here, staying across the courtyard at the Secrets resort. The restaurant is adorable, the pizzas delicious (from two foodies who live in NY/CT eating our famous pizza!), and pastas to-do-for. The wine list was reasonable and service was AMAZING! The owner and his waitress were both so sweet, chatty and interactive and really wanted you to be enjoying your meal and experience! Due to it being the low season, they were operating on a limited menu but on our second night, when I asked if they could make me something simple off menu, it was a quick response of, "of course!" Do not miss this new, hidden gem in this adorable...
