Brit Hotel Saint-Nazaire Centre — Hotel in Saint-Nazaire

The front desk staff who welcomed us at our stay is amazing. We had a smooth check in, being explained on the accessibility and useful information about the hotel (breakfast timing, location vicinity ). She also recommended us places to visit and is so patient to answer to all our enquiries. We forgot to get her name to express our thanks and appreciation. The hotel is conveniently located next to bus interchange. However, for drivers, parking can be hard as there is a little walk from nearest car park and subjected to availability as well. The room is small but it is ok for a night stay for us. Water pressure from the shower head is so good that we can compromise ourselves on the small area. Breakfast is standard- selection of hot beverages, juices, bread, eggs and sausages, fruits and yoghurt. The cakes baked by their nightshift staff are tasty. Staff at reception were extremely helpful and friendly, our room was small but clean and the bed was comfortable. Like most European hotels, only one thin pillow is provided but two more were delivered when asked for. ||It was initially quite difficulty to find this hotel using google maps as the road it is on seems to be for buses only and there is no on-site parking. We were lucky to be able to get the last space in the nearest small car park but do not know what we would have done had this been full as the area surrounding this hotel seems to be full of roadworks and no parking zones.||Breakfast was available at a small cost and was served in the adjoining restaurant, this was really good. ||We would be unlikely to stay there again due to the parking issue but if you don’t need a car it’s a decent...

Pessima esperienza ...praticamente un incubo..... In vacanza con amici abbiamo prenotato tre stanze matrimoniali con bagno e all'arrivo alle 23.00 ho scoperto che la mia stanza era destinata a portatori di handicap e non aveva la stanza da bagno separata ma un "angolo bagno" : praticamente non c'era alcuna separazione tra il wc-doccia (senza tenda o vetro) ed il resto della stanza ..un open space !!! dopo il primo attimo di smarrimento ho chiesto alla reception che mi venisse cambiata la stanza perché quel tipo di sistemazione non era accettabile: creava a mio marito e me un notevole disagio ed una assoluta impossibilità ad usare il wc. Mi è stato risposto che non potevano cambiare...c'era stato un fraintendimento perché al momento della prenotazione abbiamo solo chiesto se c'era un parcheggio per portatori di Handicap ma non abbiamo mai prenotato una stanza per portatori di handicap perché non abbiamo nessun handicap di tipo motorio (esistono differenti tipi di disabilità !!! ) è seguita una discussione abbastanza accesa e la ragazza vista la mia insistenza e determinazione a non arrendermi mi ha detto con fare molto scocciato come se il problema non la riguardasse che mi ridava i soldi così potevo andarmene ... e alla mia richiesta che fosse lei a trovare un'altra sistemazione (oltretutto era passata la mezzanotte) ha risposto che assolutamente no ..quello era un problema nostro !!! Ora ... trovo che in assoluto anche un portatore di handicap abbia diritto alla privacy nell'uso del bagno come qualsiasi altra persona quindi inorridisco a pensare che in questo hotel si pensi che eventualmente il portatore di handicap motorio non abbia diritto alla privacy nell'uso del bagno ... per quel che mi riguarda ritengo di avere ricevuto un pessimo trattamento e di essere stati costretti a subire un disagio psicologico e fisico non indifferente perché mio marito ed io siamo stati costretti a comportarci come se il bagno non ci fosse stato con le conseguenze che si possono immaginare ..
