Le clos de l’âne dentelle — Hotel in Sarlat-la-Canéda

We had a very lovely stay. The house is beautiful, with peaceful views over the valley, and everything feels calm and thoughtfully put together. Our room was spacious, tastefully decorated, and spotlessly clean.

And the pièce de résistance was the air conditioning. Bliss after a scorching hot day!

Nathalie and Laurent were wonderful hosts — attentive without ever being overbearing.

I also want to say that the one negative review we saw is completely unfounded. There was absolutely nothing oppressive about the place — quite the opposite. And if someone needs a TV to enjoy a setting like this, they’re probably better off staying home! As for the steps… it’s a charming old house in the Dordogne, not a modern hotel, and that’s a big part of what makes it special. Love the timber clad renovation of the barn...

We arrived at the centrally located Le Clos de D'lane Dentelle B & B in Vezac to be greeted by Natalie and Laurent. They were fabulous hosts and immediately upgraded us to a much larger room where we stayed 5 days. Every morning they brought a nice breakfast to our dinette and chatted for a bit. Increíble experiencia la que tuvimos mi pareja y yo esta Semana Santa en esta casa. Los dueños salieron a recibirnos al exterior nada más llegar. Fueron siempre muy amables, haciéndonos sentir cómodos en todo momento. El desayuno era muy abundante y prácticamente a la medida de cada comensal, pues nos preguntaban qué nos gustaba a cada uno. Es una casa de cuento de hadas con habitaciones muy amplias y cómodas. Todo estaba muy limpio y ordenado. El baño fantástico y la decoración de la habitación peculiar pero cuidada hasta el último detalle. Aparcas en el mismo exterior de la casa, al pie de las escaleras. Por otro lado, la casa esta excelentemente ubicada para iniciar las visitas a la zona del Perigord Noir. Visitamos muchos sitios sin tener que hacer muchos kilómetros en ningún caso.
